I lost most of my family through death, moving away, etc. I had (have) a very large family and the holidays were magical! Since 2000 nothing hardly comparable but I did my best throughout the grief. Then my daughter left me as toxic (she’s an adult and I respect her decision) so my heart broke literally. My health failed and I had to have my heart totally reconstructed! I went into a coma and was in the hospital for months! Cars were foreign to me when I got out. My youngest is autistic with Asperger Syndrome and I felt like I had upended his world. Especially after his sister just abandoned him too. Stability is so important for autism. So I am bedbound. Can’t cook. Haven’t had thanksgiving in 8 years. I know sorrow BUT I also know light! I’m decades older than you. Just remember when you thought all was lost at 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. Somehow things turn around. Time moves on. I care about you! I just want to hold you as a mother and let you weep and take on all your past pain and never let you remember it again! I’m a stranger to you but you are loved. Angels all around you baby! Turn on a comedian and belly laugh. Or a sappy holiday love story. Every year I taste the cornbread dressing and the cranberry sauce in my mind. It’s sad but it’s not the end of the world for me. I should have died. My daughter is alive. I wish her a beautiful life. My two sons are healthy. I have grandchildren. I am blessed. I hope to see you, no I want to see you belly laughing next year. As the victim of trauma, I know, you have to go through it over and over to make it a memory and stop it from being a traumatic event! I’ll get down off my soapbox now! Love you Amir! You have a God given talent and the heart of King David! If I could I would count you as a real friend but distance keeps us apart. You hang on. You have a long future and you matter! Your voice is IMPORTANT TO THE WORLD!
