Acrobatic Crutches
🕑 Added 2025-06-05 18:39:26 +0000 UTCThere comes a time in many people's lives when they need a bit of assistance to move about with any particular speed. We keep a pair in my house just in case (because both my wife and I have each needed them at one point).
While there aren't hard rules about injuries to legs impairing movement or the ability to slide under a large monster or do a flip off a wall (aka, make an Acrobatics check), there may be some DMs who do use house rules like lingering injuries.
These crutches allow a character to overcome limits on acrobatic abilities, or even to excel at them, while still being able to combat foes with skill and accuracy.

Most D&D games likely won't have a big use for these (though they could be used for various disguise/con activities). For those using homebrew lingering injury rules though, they could be highly useful.

In a world with magical healing, I don't see my players getting into this.
