This does seem like the kind of town to do Welcome Brunches and Mimosas.

Clearly the mistake was only having Welcome Pie. A few bottles of Welcome Booze and Willow would have been totally chill about the whole operation
Maybe they just know it's gateway pie and nobody can be sated by just one piece?

I don't know why everyone looks so concerned, look at how happy he is! Critically, he also settled for one slice and that kind of benevolence should warrant far happier faces. Pie yet remains to be enjoyed by all!
