Jen, if you ever get around to watching The Odd Couple and like it, I also recommend a few other Neil Simon-written comedies: * Barefoot in the Park (1967) * Plaza Suite (1971) * Murder by Death (1976) * Chapter Two (1979) * Seems Like Old Times (1980)

I'm very fond of his 'Scent of a Woman', where he plays a very angry and embittered retired army colonel, who is blind. Prob my fave Pacino film. It has echoes of Good Will Hunting. I was super fortunate enough to see Pacino live, in Glasgow, in 2015. Just him on stage for around 2 hours, telling stories and anecdotes and chatting. Q&A's at the end. Was a fab eve. Kelly's Heroes was a big deal for me in the 70s - never missed it when played on network TV. For me the best part were the "mock Tigers" which nicely approximated the real thing - versus just slapping German crosses on post-war US M-48 tanks like some other bulgey historical abomination movie from a few years earlier which I will not dignify by naming. Best historical lines of the movie are Kelly's "The Tiger is open country tank and we happen to have these in s small town" and Oddballs "It's a Mark Six - and we got 'im by the ass!" Love the production, drama, and humor of this film. That being said, Andromeda Strain is ridiculously scientifically accurate. They didn't build cardboard sets with cheap props - they built a working lab! It stands up very well even 50 years later. I am hoping for either of those two VERY different movies!
