I finally got to this reaction. I chose to listen to the song without video before I started your reaction. It sent me on a journey for sure. One of the first things that came to mind when listening was «Phantom of the Opera», so imagine my excitement when you mentioned that as well. (Means I’m not all lost 😅) Second thing was the boy singing. We have an all boys choir here in Norway called «Sølvguttene». (Silverboys if I’m translating directly) It started out as a boys choir back in 1940. Now they both have boys and men. They always have a concert on Christmas Eve that’s also being broadcasted. That was a digression. Third thing that came to mind was Orffs Carmina Burana. Needless to say - loved this 🤩

Oh wow, that's an amazing fun fact.

An interesting little detail: When the boy is performing the spoken word part in the middle (presumably as Tuomas's character in the song) he says "Now I only have 3 minutes and counting..." Well, 3 minutes later in the song is the end of Act 4 when you hear the sound of the blade swinging. It's a great little detail that I always appreciate. I never get tired of knowledgeable musicians and vocalists reacting to this song.
