I've enjoyed this arc, though I hope we see some payoff from them soon.

These few chapters were good - because as one of the posts mentioned before, there were some results from all the theorizing. The struggle of the main character is the major plotline.

i'm enjoying these chapters, they are quite fun to read.

I've enjoyed the chapters, but they've definitely been a bit tedious. Nowhere near the level of when there was that few month period (in real life) where the story only focused on the three days after the tournament. One thing I'll say here is that the inner thoughts and discovery are fun when Rain actually discovers something and makes a breakthrough. When there's no payoff, then it becomes a bit hard to read.

I like the world building. I didn't really notice how many chapters you spent on pondering water because the chapters come out days apart. It would be difficult to read several chapters of water thoughts in a single sitting. Although I don't know how you would hash out these details other than Rain's POV.

I'm among the people who enjoy the world building and theorycrafting. It's taking a while, but I'm looking forward the the cathartic release of him figuring this all out. I can certainly understand the "blue-balls" pain of taking too long to get there, so hopefully this ride outside will be the big reveal we've been waiting for.

See, I knew he was close, although "One with the world' does sound like bullshit but it is apparently one right way to go about it. Too bad he dismissed it like that. Maybe once you realize that the chi you use starts to be more like HE and so it doesn't dissipate when out of the body

Having the main character argue with himself about poorly conceived semantics for more than one chapter in a row was an odd choice to be sure

One rain chapter was fine for me. So many more in succession was not.

yea last ch was pretty much a primer for all the waters, and this ch is a quick rehash. I'll admit I wanted them somewhat complicated, but then it got to the point where I kept mixing them up in my head too lol. Then i thought about using different terms, but its water all the way down. I could name them each something unique, but those names would be forgettable. Thats the problem with fancy names vs utilitarian ones. the first make no sense and the second all blend together. ADding to the complication is the terms need to fit with the other blessings and stuffs, not to mention the differences are minute even to Rain. Twas a headache, until i just said forget it. and went with what I already had.

I considered this ch from a diff pov, but it wouldve been too clunky and unwieldy. That said, watching Rain's strange antics from a diff PoV would be fun. Will keep this in mind.

i love the world building concept..so its okay to have Rain POV more :)

It's a bit too confusing; I feel like I need to have a handy wiki ready to differentiate between all the different Chi Water variations when compared with Spiritual & Heavenly energy. The magic system needs a rather major overhaul or some real different terms to keep the structure straight in one's mind.

Loved the chapter as always. Also not to be contrary but the worst super power even is that guy from I think romance of the three kingdoms whose super power is that eating his flesh makes other people immortal. Also I totally called the whole heavenly water awakened thing, and I'm super interested in Rain possibly forming a domain. It would explain his inability to externalize chi if he needs to expand his domain outward to be able to manifest it in the real world.

Charles Frayne

I'm commenting before reading 440, but I've been sort of uninterested in the past few chs. I'm not really trying to solve mysteries ahead of Rain so the recent buildup isn't particularly important to me. But while I don't find it riveting, it's not tedious either. He's going through things in what seems like a reasonable manner and I'll keep following along until he gets somewhere.

Andrew

Thank you! I enjoy them but I wouldn't want 10 in a row of them.

Prince Hakeem

I’d be more interested seeing some of this in bits and pieces and/or from an outside perspective. Like one of the experts dumbfounded by Rain’s strange behavior, then getting the full story in a later exchange about how he misinterprets Elder Ming’s notes on binding. Rain’s willingness to experiment is what sets him apart, but it can be tedious to see the entire scientific method where a few lines would suffice. This could help avoid retreading the same ground and getting bogged down in the minutiae of these demonstrations.

Deshauwn

Having rain think through things is interesting enough that I didn't mind reading them, but I would prefer if they were more spread out. I still think it is worth showing his thoughts though to help make it more clear how much he has to work for various things instead of it just being a bunch of random boughts of inspirations or awakenings. Overall I say it is very good for worldbuilding.

IDK about rearranging, but I did indeed enjoy the last few chapters. There were a lot of minor interaction between characters that really held them together.
