Trying to hold all these feels at work is torture...why did i read this at work.

Rene Christensen

I doubt a rune cannon would scratch a highlevel warrior or a demon, let alone an ancestral beast even with a direct hit. They will be for destroying the defiled hordes, might not even be that useful against the chosen.

Phaeth

My guess is nothing happens, ABs are only able to use HE during their transformation, then they lose all memory and are no longer able to use HE. The HE would be all used up by the transformation process and from then on they use Chi like anyone else.

Tatsu

What I want to know now is what happens if rain, the devourer of heavenly energy, touches the body of a dead ancestral beast.

SugarRoll

Well...with the situation as it is, it might not be too bad. Looks like Gangshu will live and the abbot might make it as well. If the rune cannon being developed is capable of taking out an ancestral beast, it's not the end for them yet.

I liked a lot this chapter, it makes sense the reasons behind the divinities to abandon their children. I hope that the following arc has a more serious or dark tone.

CentaureHeart

Great chapter! Thanks

This one wept. Fly amongst the stars Guan Suo. And rest in peace.

Redbeard

I feel like it is more to do with the type of animals that become Ancestral Beats too. From seeing GangShu's perspective a couple times he seems like he leans more into his animal instinct of fleeing rather than fighting other ancestral beats, though I think they would all share the same instinct for children. Also Ping Ping isn't actually an Ancestral Beast just a big turtle thats on the cusp of becoming one. Though you could be right and the transformation makes them more human and leads into the instinct to fight for supremacy or some other more human emotion that causes it.

Andrew

Thank you!

shiiit, i liked Guan Suo

Thransk

This a great chapter! It's interesting that he can't deny his beast side very long. What's more telling is that his instincts to kill ancestral beasts doesn't apply to Ping Ping. In fact Ping Ping has never shown any of the signs he does, even with similar animals like Pong Pong. There must be something about the transformation that twists their animal instincts.

RIP Guan Suo. It was nice getting some insight into what happens when an animal becomes an ancestral beast. I wondered how they could be enslaved and now it makes sense.

Archit Goel

nice chapter, loved it.
