Status Update #17

New year, new status update. The holidays have flown by and so has our render queue! During the holidays we've tried rendering with two computers, and we're even thinking about adding a third one to the mix, specifically one dedicated to animations.
This would be the next big project in upgrades and should be a nice boost to production. Currently we're alternating rendering sessions on the rendering rig between normal renders and animations, which works, but the potential for separate queues is pretty tempting.
Next week we'll start the work on a new branching scene with Eve and some side girls. We'll be going through the planned routes properly this weekend and polishing the script to make sure it all flows before we start posing and rendering.
Mia also received an additional hairstyle, which you might've already spotted in the New Year's render.

We have a couple of ideas for the next RRs, but suggestions are welcome! We were thinking of making one of Sophie next.

Findland? I found out I'm part Danish and plan to get to the region and hit Sweden, Finland, Denmark and maybe Norway. I watch the movie "Troll" and I don't want some Norwegian troll to eat me. The 5090's are gonna be $2k each. Ouch! I just got a 9950x, so if you want a mobo with a 5900x, 64GB and 2GB nvme, I could send that to you. I'm looking at switching back to Nvidia, probably get the 5080 from the 7900 xtx, but I love how good the open source drivers are on Linux (not a ms windows user). Think about a new rig special donation. I'm new to VN's and yours is at the top 1 or 2. Though being a DiK is pretty awesome. Looking forward to the next chapters. (P.S. how to you enter a new line on this terrible Patreon comment section?)

Yeah tbf, Bree is far too hot for the cold to affect her anyway lol. You say "just a can lid" like it's nothing but I'm still impressed with the Good For You juice, π flavoured of course, and I remember letting out an audible "wow" when I saw the crinkles in the bendy straw! π§

Bree's doing fine, don't worry about her! I have picture evidence that she is indeed warm. https://www.patreon.com/posts/97567615 There's not much magic to rendering, Nvidia GPU with as much VRAM as you can handle and you're good to go. I got cloud and NAS now to keep backups tidy. Haven't had any problems yet! There will be some sidegirls, not all but most. Some time for Ember as well. :)

Team AMD as well! RTX 4090 paired with 5800x3d on the rendering rig. The rendering works on Nvidia Iray, so Nvidias GPU's are the way to go for us. And with the 50xx's coming soon, we'll start planning the new rig for animations. We're in Finland. :)

Would be cool if you guys got an animations PC. I'm sure that could make a big difference! I Love Mia's current hairdo, but it would be fun seeing her in other hairdos in game also. That's AWESOME to hear Eve's getting a big scene with some Side Girls! π₯³π I have no idea what it could be about unless that evil Jogger Girl has summoned a posse of Big Boobed Mean Girls to hunt Eve down and try to take their revenge. If so, they better watch out! I'm sure Eve can dish out some punishment even if she's out numbered. We haven't seen Nina in a long time. Good evening Rob and Npx, what do my tired eyes see...our hot and beautiful red fox in the header. I could melt away at the look on her face. But isn't the poor thing a little cold? I'd better take her into my warm house right away π I'm really happy about your first DevLog for this year. What better way to start the year? I hope you were able to relax a little over the holidays and recharge your batteries. Another computer sounds great. Of course, the hardware costs are high, but in the end the purchase will pay off because you will be able to render much faster. You can tell us a bit about what hardware you are currently using. There are many people who are interested in this. And how do you actually back up your data? Cloud, NAS? Another branch with Eve... sounds more than interesting. Is Eve opening up to us a little more...and does she perhaps want a little more βphysical involvementβ? We are curious π₯° And more of the sidegirls is exactly what I wanted to hear. Will all the ladies be included in the next update? Cassandra, Hannah, Jenni, Officer Lainey, Livia, Rainbow, Becca, Blair, Lynnx and Nina? I wanted to mention it before you're done with the script. Good if you guys get a 3rd rig for animations. Could help a lot. Two wigs in one day for Helen? What's going on?? I want a Mia RR most but I'd like a Sophie RR too. Maybe a Sophie by the ocean like TheNative said. And maybe we can have a Lynnx, Joanne, Ms Hill biggest BOOBS battle RR like Lilatentakel thought of that time we were trying to figure out which girl was bustiest. Or at least Lynnx and Joanne and then Ms Hill's later when she can. Ok I'm gonna be honest and tell you my first thought "Bree must be fucking freezing!" Moving on, if two heads are better than one, three rendering computers are definitely better than...well, less than three π€·πΎββοΈ So that's great news. Intrigue piqued at the thought of a scene with Eve and side girls because I'm curious who these side girls might be and what she's doing out of camp. I wonder if this has anything to do with blowback from Instafox π€ Also, intrigue also piques whenever I see the words "custom props" cos I do love when you guys are like "Oh, we need a thing, but it doesn't exist [or it's below our standard] so we're gonna make one ourselves!" πππ Any hints as to what these might be??? As for the RR. Of course I have suggestions but when you've already hinted at featuring Sophie next, I'm not brave nor crazy enough to suggest anything else. Her fans will form a lynch mob and string me up! π€£ Ps. If you do wanna drop a hint about your custom props, I promise I won't tell anyone. I can keep a secret better than Bree! π

So what are your set ups for rendering? Maybe we all could make a donation of parts? I've a new 5900x, 64 GB, that I've never used just sitting around. I'm an AMD guy so the extra video card is a 7900 xtx. Are you in the US?

I know this is a hard request since I believe it's harder but it would be great to see Sophie at the sea, maybe with the sunset. Or in the mountains. I also believe you guys would rather do it in the enviroment you already have in the game like the "Yak Uzi" where Bree is standing on the render of this week.
