Hope you had a nice holiday and survived through the New Year!
The holidays are almost over here in Finland, and soon it'll be peaceful again. The coding department got some R&R and is now ready to tackle the pains of SFX and Android again.
On the rendering/art side, we've been cooking. We finished many placeholders and new renders that we wanted to create, and added some more cinematic angles for scene transitions. Pretty simple stuff, and now they feel like they should've been there from the get-go. Summer Heat was originally intended to be a fully 1st perspective experience, but we moved away from it, which has allowed for more creative angles. From a design perspective, it's been a good choice. Hopefully from a gameplay perspective as well.
We've also reworked some Ember dialogue and decided to add a couple more pictures to the conversations.
It is soon time for the last preview of 0.7. We have some options, but we're also curious who you'd like to see. What kind of preview would you be most interested in seeing before the update?

I used to be a long time contributor to this project, but then after months of promises and zero delivers, I stepped back and funded other projects, with devs truly invested in their games, who delivered scheduled and precise updates. I came back here, more that one year (!!!!!!!) later, to see if there's any progress with this game... and yet nothing. Once again a feed 100% filled with promises, and 0% progress. Guess I'll have to look somewhere else for another whole year...

I've had a fairly productive time myself over the holidays. It struck me only recently that the version of SH I've been playing is an "unofficial" version (*offers wrist to be slapped) which means that my saves obviously won't be compatible with the official 0.7 release, so I've had to start the game again (which is no hardship π). I'm using the two lines on the save screen to have two runs saved. One thing I'm most intrigued about in Summer Heat, other than the ladies, is the lying feature and how relevant that may prove later. So, I'm having an "honest" run where MC doesn't tell a single lie, and that's going to be saved on the top line. The bottom line will be a dishonest play through where MC lies at every single opportunity, and I'm very curious to see what differences that makes in later updates, for better or for worse π What I can't believe is how much dialogue I've missed through not exploring all the options, like, as an example, the conversation with Jenni about whether MC was eyeing up Livia. Very fascinating stuff and I'm very excited to keep exploring whilst we eagerly await the next update π

Hey you guys, great to finally hear from you, I've missed your dev updates and was starting to suffer withdrawal symptoms! π Great news, glad you've had a productive time over the festive period. When it comes to previews, it's hard to know when we don't know what's in store but personally, I'd like to see something intriguing. Something that gives very little, if any insight to something that happens but sparks curiosity about it. Something to tease us with is, not necessarily lewd (although that works too) but a render that whets the appetite before the main course by making us curious about an upcoming scene π In terms of the android question, if you can, please include all the extras. My phone screen is rather large and I'm sure that some android players (and maybe me too in the future) play on tablets so, if it isn't too tricky for you to work on, I'd always vote to include as much as you can, please π

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING ππ, ROBISON & NPX AND EVERYONE!!! The first Update of the New Year π₯³π!!! I hope everyone had wonderful back-to-back Holidays πππ /πππ§¨π!!! The back-to-back Holidays were nice. I had a nice two-day break for both weeks. But unfortunatelyβ¦ that means I also lost two days of pay for both π . And with how much I spent during the four months (Oct/Halloween ππ», Nov/Thanksgiving π¦π½, Dec/Christmas ππ, and Jan/HNY ππ). Every paycheck counts π€£. Financial black holes for me, these Holidays π. Butβ¦ WE MADE IT π β¦ IT'S 2026 π₯³πππ!!! Yeahβ¦ Codingβ¦ get those Androids (since that's the only way I can play atm π ). Sounds fantastic on the art/rendering side. Nice on the Embers π₯! As for the preview? I have a STRONG GREAT feeling about all the "main" girls (even though they're all mains to me π ). That they're all going to get something amazing/lewd-ish So how about some Ember? Or the other girls, like Hannah, Cassie, Livia, Lainey, and Rainbow? OR how about us (Eve and I) getting back at Elena π₯°? The two renders was smoking hot π₯΅!!! I love all my SH ladies β₯οΈπππππ€π©΅π©·, and I can't wait to continue hanging out with them all π«Άπ»π«°π». Soon hopefully π₯°! I'm coming home to you all π!
