I tried editing the colors a little and this way they feel a lot more harmonious, it was mostly Ricks coat that bothered me in the end. This one is maybe a little TOO muted now, but Iβd rather have this than a piece with mismatched colors π
Anyway, hope you like this one too, sorry for this second edited upload but I wanted to show you smth I was a little happier with! Im leaving the other one up as well.

i think bothare gorgeous! this one seems more like a documented picture (which really gives a feel of how it actually looked), and the other one feels like this is some kinda mystical experience (which makes sense cause of the mermaid). so both are really cool in their own way π
as an artist you always know when it needs to be muted or brightened. I adore seeing the process and the final images, well done!

Definitely prefer the richness of the colours on this piece. It just feels kind of... damp, which is fitting for mermaids.

Good question!! Honestly I think I might just leave it, I rescanned it and edited it the proper way so itβs high res now, but I feel like if I spend any longer on painting that thing Iβll go nuts π©π¨

Yeah! I get that. The blue was nice in the other one, but this feels good idk for me its the same amount of good haha! I'm glad that this is what YOU want tho!! Would you consider painting over it to be that shade, or just leave it?
