The colors were a bit of a struggle, I don't think I've ever done bright red lighting like this before, so it was fun to play around with the different values! (And this painting has 3 different light sources, so idk if it looks overboard or not?? I'll let you decide)
Also since this was the top voted prompt, I'll also do something space-y with Max and tentacles probably. I was thinking of some more sci-fi in the future, mostly to do with the planet they colonize and what weirdness they might encounter!! And that posessed space captain Rick since that was the second highest voted. For that one I do rrrly wanna make it a bit more cosmic horror esque, I don't feel like this one is scary enough π€
I guess for this new story I want it to be more dark and spooky in general, a bit like Event Horizon. Just madness on a spaceship yknow!
But I'll leave it at that before I start rambling about further future art, I hope you like this one!!

I mean, more space is the obvious answer. But then there's also fantasy mystical caves/forests with luminescent mushrooms/rocks. Or fun cyberpunk clubs.
I loved doing the lighting!! Iβll have to think of other scenarios where I could possibly do more of that π€

Thanks JoΓ«lle! I actually imagined something similar when I saw the w.i.p version as well, so good to know my guess wasnβt completely random. Also probably part of why I was so surprised and impressed with the dramatic reds. Thanks for sharing!
For this one I had a vague idea of what I wanted beforehand, a sterile, light, blue and white atmosphere, before at the last minute changing my mind to something more dramatic. Which worked out in the end, but leaves the idea I had before on the backburner for a future piece! It honestly rly depends, for this one, after deciding on the bright red, I did multiple mock-ups in procreate to get a feel for how I wanted the colors to work out, as well as figuring out where to put shadows!
