The MacAllistairs are prime dysfunctional family. Jones, more often than not tries to stay as far away from his brother’s grasp, but sometimes being home is exactly what he needs. Although it pains him to be there, he knows exactly what to expect, there he can feel some sense of control over his life again.
(This scene here might be after a falling out with Horatio, so Jones seeks shelter where he knows he’ll find some.)

Finally showing off big man Lewis, head of the MacAllistair family and Jones’ senior by 5 years. If it hadn’t been for their mother’s failing health, Jones probably would’ve ended up being just as big. Instead, he’s the runt of the family, treated with contempt when his brother shuns him. (Partly over being gay, part being his distaste for Jones’ weakness)
Love these two, I’ve drawn Lewis before, altho only in bits. He was the pair of legs standing over a younger Jones after he’d snapped a dove’s neck. He’s got a bit of a cruel streak growing up.
The ref I used for this was from a movie called Upstream Color, and the pose seemed perfect 😖💞
