Roman’s got me bad!!! Vic and Ric, my loves , always so happy to draw something with them and I thought this pose was just perfect for them. Also I love love love big subby Vicus, it’s just immensely sweet. He’s not rly a himbo because he’s not dim, he’s more like a big puppy who Rictus treats with devotion and opulence.
Now that it’s getting warmer again I think it’s quite clear to myself anyway that my paintings often reflect this. I was scrolling through all my paintings of the last.. year, so from now till March-ish 2021 and all the seasons more or less lined up. Bright and colorful for spring and summer, dark, gloomy and muted for autumn and winter.
I’m really happy to be painting lush foliage again, the next few pieces will probably have more of that! (I made a sketch which is SO gay and SO sweet, I’m really looking forward to it)
Also I tried a new way of painting the leaves of the bush, because there were just SO many of them, and I found this works really well for me! Defined but lineless mostly. It’s fun figuring out where I can keep it vague and what I want detailed!!

Thank you I love going a little more into my working mind! I might do that more often, get into the nitty gritty of why I made a piece the way I did! And yesss nature is such a big inspiration, that and music, and combined its just perfect for me to let loose!

Loved hearing about your process and how your work relates to the seasons. I find my work does too and I pull a lot of direct inspiration from the nature around me. I struggle if I’m not in contact with soil and plants and water for certain. The greens are vibrant and beautiful 🤩 love it. Love his pink bubbly bum 🍑
