We have not communicated much in recent months, but rest assured that we continue to evolve Gofile towards the ideal platform for data storage and sharing.
Gofile has become a very popular platform worldwide. We have had to manage major technical challenges related to the network and server infrastructure. We are now present in two data centers, one in Europe and the other in the US. Hundreds of GBPS of bandwidth are served for each zone. We have many users in Asia and South America and we will expand our infrastructure in these areas as soon as possible.
Our new infrastructure has allowed us to reduce our storage cost per TB. We are now among the cheapest in the world with a storage price of $3/TB. Similarly, for direct link broadcasting through our CDN network, the price is $2/TB broadcasted, we did not find a cheaper offer.
In terms of development, we continue to make in-depth changes to the code of our application in order to deliver the following features that we have in mind.
Without giving details on the timelines because it's still too early for that, here are some features planned for the next phase of Gofile development:
- Desktop application to manage your uploads and sync your files
- Remote upload by URL and via torrent
- Choice of your preferred region for uploading your files
- Advanced read, write, and upload permissions for each folder which will open up new usage perspectives for Gofile.
This is just the beginning, we have big ambitions for the platform.

If I paid for the yearly plan, and I still have 3TB of storage, am I allowed to store more than 3TB, provided that I pay an extra $3 a month for that one TB?

Do you have any plans to make more tiers? I'm currently still on the 500GB tier and would probably like a similar priced version compared the the current 3TB tier (roughly double the price). Are old tiers staying if you remain subbed and don't change it? Since I (and possible others) can do with less storage, a suggestion would be a 1TB storage, 3TB CDN at $5-6/month to keep with current pricing

why am I only able to upload at 10mbps instead of 1gbps ? not very fast for large file uploads or Big Video edits that I save on your service for my YouTube channel. When I have to backup video edits longer then 20 minutes this can take forever. I have a 3gbps internet speed upload and download so why am I not able to take advantage of my speeds with your service ?. 10mbps is very limited I would hope this changes for those who upload large files like myself also backing up my files from my PC in a Zip folder can also take a very long time even after compressing the contents by 10% or more. I still have to wait many hours to wait for these uploads to finish as this uses up a lot of my CPU with using Chrome.

Yes, it's in the development pipeline, but web browsers have certain technical limitations that prevent it from being done easily. But we'll do it

Would love it if you guys made a way to upload whole file structures to the site, rather than having to recreate the file structures within the sites ui. Would make uploading already organized files a breeze.

Hello, Sorry for the late response. I checked and indeed there was a problem following an update of the Patreon API. The structure of the information sent back to our system changed, and this introduced some bugs, hence the issue with your account. It's now fixed, I confirm that your account is Premium and it will remain so for the duration of your subscription.

I tried to DM but received no reply. I subscribed for a month and then cancelled, and received an email stating that my subscription will be cancelled in 7 days. I paid for one month and will only be receiving 10 days of service. Can someone please clarify why?
