Early Access: NATO vs Russia - How To Rate Military Power?
🕑 Added 2022-04-09 09:59:27 +0000 UTCThe Russian invasion of Ukraine has resulted in a number of questions on how we rate military capabilities, what we should consider when making a verdict, and what some of the underrepresented aspects might be. To talk about this, I invited Richard Shimooka, Senior Fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute to explore how we could tackle this question in the future.

Thanks for putting this together for us, Chris. I found the discussion of the previous perceived capabilities of the Russian air force in light of recent events in Ukraine to be absolutely fascinating. As noted in the video, people may have been aware of the corruption in the Russian government, but seeing how this factor is playing out in showing just how poor the Russian military's capabilities really are is a real eye-opener.
