Coming in fast and with firepower, the P-63 Kingcobra makes a statement. It wasn't quite enough against the P-47 Thunderbolt and P-51 Mustang but with that competition, getting 3rd place is a badge of honor if anything. Bell aircraft was really liking the "Cobra" name eh! Let's take a Regular Cobra, pimp it out with more firepower and call it "King". Seems like a good fuselage design for a prototype jet aircraft. P.S. My friend Bill, his dad flew S-2 Trackers. King Cobra's next-door neighbor. Thanks for the video, Chris. Detailed and through narrative.
