New Mexico isn't that cold...usually.
🕑 Added 2021-02-16 17:11:00 +0000 UTCI bought this parka after freezing my ass off in January, in Canada, during the shooting of the IMPULSE pilot. Not only was it -13 degrees Celsius (8 degrees F,) we were three miles north of Lake Erie and twelve miles southwest of Lake Ontario. The humidity this adds...well, let's just say Jack Frost isn't nipping at your nose. He's biting your face off.
Just last week our highs were in the 50's with sunny dry days, getting down to freezing at night. Since Sunday, like the rest of the country, New Mexico is "enjoying" a period of unusually cold weather, but at least I have the right coat for it.

I try not to put much stuff on a bucket list but travel to Australia has got to be one of the top items. Finger's crossed for both our sakes.

I was born in Montreal but moved to Sydney Australia as a teenager. Returned only once about 20 years and it barely seemed to have changed. Still miss its beauty sometimes, looking forward to showing my children my birth-town once we can travel freely again

Boeing sent him to Montreal for a week to liase with a customer during the first snowfall of the year. He stayed downtown in a turn-of-the-century renovated hotel. It was amidst a massive renovation of tall buildings, some of them near skeletons. The gently swirling snowflakes lent a mist of unreality to everything. At night, returning from dancing the Argentine tango or dining out where everyone spoke French, he might have been in a fairy city of the past or a time-devastated future city.

A good pair of boots is also wonderful. A week before Montreal's first snow fall I was told I was going there for a week by my boss at Boeing, so I researched and finally bought a pair. Happily my research (or plain luck!) garnered me the perfect pair.

Odd weather conditions in lots of places, these past few years. Have not seen North Dakota this cold as far back as I can remember. A good coat's a wonderful thing.
