Could you imagine? an Primeval origin soulflame or maybe a new rank of soul flame "Origin tier" arcane soulflame

Xander Vick

I am dying to see Jake inject some Jake Juice into the soul soul flame cradle…

Mrburns93

Well this one line has a typo in it but you couldn't convince me that it wasn't intentional "if a metal or earth maga summoned a giant wall"

Tim Eerens Sköld

Jake should shove some of his special juice into that urn. I bet it would create something completely impossible and broken.

ABTelford

Friendly edit: second to last paragraph: there are several instances of “will” that need to be changed into “would” to maintain past tense conditional conjugation. Ex: A sword WOULD lose its energy,

ABTelford

When Jake thinks to himself directly in first person, it should be italicized or put in quotation marks so the reader has that visual cue. Ex: “The more I think about it, the more this Origin Energy seems kind of alive”, Jake thought

Alex

Eron managed 4 non-shareable creations. Thats impressive. :D probably helped him out quite a bit in his quest for blanket immortality for everyone.

Chrono Tempestus

So the architect was NOT Able and Willing to share the contents of the trial.

justin

The marble will have a tiny planet and people someday

Jeff McCulley

I wasn’t sure that he was killed. Perhaps “appropriated” might be more accurate.

JJB4345_80_815

Dumb question, but could it have been the arcane energy itself causing the explosion since it doesn't like other people trying to manipulate it? There's a mention in this chapter I think of the arcane energy being almost alive and a warning not to fiddle with it. The old elf barrier mage was fiddling with it. I remember the first time I read it I wondered which God smited him, but the second time around I thought it could've been an accidental explosion. Of course, I was a bit more casual and not as detailed in my reading habits the second time through. 🤷

Luke Scheffe

Killing someone over something Jake willingly did is really, really not Villy’s style. If it was Villy, he would have given a warning first, since Jake was involved. Even if the guy insisted on ignoring the warning, Villy would likely involve Jake in the retaliation.

Luke Scheffe

I highly doubt that the Grimoire has this level of secrecy. The system isn’t likely to care that much about heretic blessed, but the marble holds important information it wants to keep a secret. The grimoire getting out would hurt Jake’s interests, but what matters for the system’s intervention is if it’s own interests are at stake.

Decibel790

If he was entropy, I don't think he could make something that would last eternally like the marble. As chaotic as he is, I don't think chaos is what he truly embodies. But that's just my opinion on it.

JJB4345_80_815

Justin - Yes I think that his bloodline will evolve in B-grade and even A-Grade. It could even evolve further, depending on when/how his race evolves. I can't wait to read about it, too!

Numbzy

I think will be more 10%-15%. I mean EH has a politician profession. I doubt he will get a great score in The House of the Architect. So that's at least 15% there, add in 5 minimum for coliseum, 5 for maze, and whatever they got for achievement from before level 70. If its less than 25% I'll be surprised. Also, what happens if Jake does the same thing against EH that he did against Valdemar. EH dies everytime. He cannot compete.

Justin

JJ I had the exact same theories. That he'd beat him but I think it'll be by 10-15% not 60 or something crazy. Question for you though, you still thinking Jake's bloodline is evolving after the Valdemar fight? I think Villy almost confirmed it's that Jake just can't handle the raw power of his own bloodline, and is basically subconsciously "letting it off the reins" with each evolution. But I may have interpreted that poorly idk.

Justin

I hope you're right too bc that'd be sick my friend lol. I was just saying that I think for Villy, like in your examples, it was more him supporting Snappy/Duskleaf not supporting Sandy/Meira. Plus bc those 2 were originally connected to Jake, his Chosen, to begin with. Whereas the Daofathers only real connection is one of my many disciples made Eron a Chosen, and another got his image wrecked by Jake. But again I agree with you, that could very well be enough. It's just with him seemingly more reclusive than even Aeon I'm unsure. Love the theory though, keep em coming!

Wilson Lessley

It doesn’t make sense to add the Jake juice until he has an elemental that is good enough for him. Jake juice seems to empower specific things, not the process behind it.

JJB4345_80_815

Samantha - While I believe "The Primal Hunter experience" would be classified as unique and the overall discussion held private, I believe that the Architect could hint at it saying "Jake submitted a private conversation between myself and him which will of course remain private." The Wrymgod didn't even get "He submitted a unique marble" from the Architect on this one. My guess is that the Grimoire and the Marble are on the Super-duper Level of secrecy, while the conversation is just a step below that on the secrecy scale. Could I be wrong? Absolutely! But I'm gonna go ahead with my assumption for now.

JJB4345_80_815

One thing that did separate Jake from Ell'hakan is that when Jake confronted him at the beginning of the Nevermore arc, Jake realized that Ell'hakan's bloodline didn't evolve when he reached C-grade while Jake's bloodline DID evolve at C-grade. However, don't underestimate Ell'hakan's other attributes. Heck, the Sword Saint TOLD Jake that Cheeto Boi was holding back in their duel and the Sword Saint believed EH walked a path of slaughter. He might not have killed Valdy's image in the Colosseum of Mortals, but he very well could have impressed Valdy enough to give him a passing grade and the 20% achievement. If both Arnold and Casper were able to get 20% in Minaga's dungeon, there's a chance that Ell'hakan was able to do so as well. Ell'hakan might have been able to use his bloodline to cheese this dungeon as well as the other dungeon we know about. While I expect Jake to come out on top, I don't think that it will be by an overwhelming amount. Oh, and Jake made it clear at the start of Nevermore that Ell'hakan F***ed up when he decided to mess with Earth. Jake ain't gonna let that slide. There will be blood.

JJB4345_80_815

Justin - yeah, I could be stretching things...BUT Villy was around Meira enough that she kept passing out causing Jake to train up her god aura resistance. When Snappy warned Meira to keep Duskleaf's secrets, Villy popped in afterwards teasing Snappy about being protective of Duskleaf. Speaking of Snappy, Villy actually urged him to make Sandy his chosen. The Daolords serve a similar purpose to the Daofather. While Villy has already mentioned that the Daofather is rarely seen, even by other Primordials, the Daolords serve in his stead and represent him in multiversal matters. I'm speculating that with other Primordials attending, coupled with Eron and Jake doing their things and receiving attention from 2 of his field generals, while this time is also the start of the 93rd Era and the Nevermore leaderboards, that a confluence of several separate events MAY draw the recluse into the story. I'm probably wrong, but I'm kinda hoping that I'm right... 🤷

Samantha Sandlin

Was his conversation with Nevermore, the Bound God at the beginning shared with anyone or was it kept secret as well?

Acaeluse

Seems like he does, but is it a relationship with the system or The First Sage who seems to have somehow integrated himself into the system?

Numbzy

I mean yes, but I feel like Jake has shown that El'Hakan can't compete with him. I seriously doubt that EH killed Valdemar. Basically by Jake doing that, he's set the bar incredibly high for anyone who wants conflict with him personally. I don't see EH even being able to actually threaten him. Additionally, based on his *pressumed* evaluation in the House of the Architect, many people will want him as a pure crafter and protect him from a higher grade squashing him like a bug, in addition to Villy's protection. These two things together means that EH is no longer an enemy. Yip and EH can't afford to be enemy's. Jake is too powerful to be overcome by a "peer" and protected from those who are higher grade.

Travis Nevins

That last part about chaos made crack up. It's so true! 🤣🤣

Darthnarciss

The problem is, Yip seems to derive at least a portion (most likely the majority) of his power from Stories. Buuut sadly for Yip and his Chosen, they decided to go after "the boogeyman of the multiverse" and his Chosen, who is essentially Chaos personified. You can't base your epic tale of Overcoming the Great Evil, if chaos is involved as a participant. The whole thing will go off script reeeeaall quick.

Bobby B

Huh. I wonder if Jake will use his “abilities “ to bring Villys wife and child back in some form?

Bobby B

I still believe Jake has a unique relationship with the system. A never before seen correlation. Possibly the system injecting fresh records into the multiverse while reverting back to original concepts and entities.

Bobby B

Ah. Probably more of his pursuit of everyone living forever. Items to gain immortality to everyone’s spark.

Malth

El'Hakan invaded his world and among all the people who died because of it was someone he'd blessed who was proving themselves useful to Jake; almost managed to get Miranda, Hank, Louise and Mark killed by Arthur's forces, provided enough chaos for the Church to attack the Risen faction and drive them offworld...etc. Jake has plenty of reason to smash El'Hakan like a bug if he gets the chance. He's also shown previously that he has fully taken Villy's "don't let someone live if they could come back again as a bigger problem" lesson to heart so I don't see him beating El'Hakan and letting him live. A comeback story is *exactly* the kind of thing El'Hakan and Yip of Yore would want too.

Malth

Jake would know if Eversmile is keeping tabs on him since it's been shown repeatedly that Jake's bloodline lets him know when a god's snooping on him. He can see through Eversmile's (non-bloodline) disguises even though the other Primordials cannot, and Umbra now has confirmation that he can see through her stealth abilities after getting the recording of the level 0 match between her copy and Jake. The only other person who might've killed the mage is Snappy but the odds he's monitoring Jake is near zero, especially since he'd know Villy is watching his own Chosen.

Justin

While I agree that it would be awesome to see him, the Benevolent Monk was the image of Soulfist Daolord and Eron is the chosen of the Lifesoul Daolord. We don't know how connected this makes them to the Daofather himself. Sorta like Villy being aware of Meira as Duskleaf's Chosen but has had very little personal involvement.

Numbzy

Weird theory here, what if Jake doesn't defeat El'Hakan? What if he just out-grows him as an enemy? Like El'Hakan shows up again to fight, and Jake's just like "Piss off, I'm busy!" While all the other factions are watching. Jake and Eron are busy making something that has everybody paying attention and EH and Yip are just told to go bother someone else for your story.

Constantin

I am not sure he would get the soulflame back if he submits it. it would be to big of a risk

joel southard

Nice

Alysyn

Ha!

KollegvomMirgan

Interesting theory. I like it :)

Mownmbasa

Personally i have a different theory. I think the system itself did it because the mage discovered what Villy couldn't figure out about Jake's mana. And it just got confirmed by the discussion between the Architect and Jake about the marble. I do believe it was written a bit dubious. Usually we see the aftermath from Villy's perspective yet in that instance we weren't privy to it. Also I think Villy knows this is weird territory since he actively tries not to understand fully Jakes Bloodline and as a consequence his arcane mana. I feel this somehow infringes on some primordial System rule that cannot be broken. Since Jake's ability is bloodline related the system cannot remove it or punish Jake for unknowingly breaking the fundamental rules of the System's universe but it can make sure no one else does it either. Probably has safety measures in place that if Jake propagates his bloodline it will be through mutation of it. It's even said clearly it's never identical. Unless he dies and someone inherits it by a system event which will never happen with Jake, the System will delete any bloodline original data if Jake dies. It might be out there but this is my theory and i am sticking to it! Also , my theory goes hand in hand with most of the readers hope that Jake will revive Villy's family. Bringing back someone from certain forms of death of divine nature is forbidden in this universe otherwise VIlly would've done it. But since it breaks one of those rules, only Jake can do it since Jake's Bloodline motto is "Fuck the System"!

John Balman

I can't wait for the gods peanut gallery to finally speak up LoL looking forward to Villy's chuckling. And then later him ribbing Jake for what happened.

JJB4345_80_815

I'm kinda wondering if other Primordials have joined the watch party and not just because of Jake either. Stormild and Aeon Clock have Sylphie and the Sword Saint doing the challenge dungeons and might cause them to become interested. Will Eron's showing in the Architect dungeon and the mysterious Harbinger speach from the Benevolent Monk be enough to bring the Daofather into the mix?

Irakli Jishkariani

Hmm, good idea really. It's risky but that's no problem for jake. Hmmm origin soulflame?? Sounds interesting

Sam Rosenberg

Great chapter. What did Eron submit?

PurpleBen

They likely know he submitted something, but the Wyrmgod/Nevermore won’t give them details like before

Frederik

I like the idear sadly he has already used up all of his jake Juice so we probably wont see it for quite some time

Abbots Foley

Me too. His creations were amazing before being chosen by something that makes Villy nervous.

WetCarrot

We didn’t but I think most likely villy. My personal theory is eversmile

Numbzy

Well get that at the end. I'm assuming there will be a post-evaluation discussion about his creations and how he did.

Numbzy

There is no discussion since they don't know know what happened.

An Open Book

So uh why doesn't Jake put some magic Jake juice into the soul cradle to boost his soulflame to origin levels? I mean it might mess it up but it might also make it attune to him better like the vespernaut queen

Micah Molina

I'm actually not. This is probably Eron's best dungeon when you think about it. He probably sucked at the Labyrinth and we know he did poor in the arena one. Considering how he forces others sparks into submission I doubt he did as well in the Character one too.

Darthnarciss

I'm pretty sure his arcane affinity is Chaos (read as Protean). He always brings Chaos, Harbinger of Chaos, bringing back an ancient line unbalanced the battle between the insects amd the robots, his constant ability to undermine the gods and their machinations, and just his general throw a Wrench in it attitude. In that vein, I'd say his stable version is "perennial (read as eternal or ancient)/creation" and his destructive side is "annihilation (read as void)/destruction".

Quasimagics

Working on a theory: Jake's bloodline will allow him to reach the rank of a god without divinity tho. His orgin ability predates the primordials, he is chaos, the 1st living embodiment of system entropy.

kingofshibainu

There's also this Protean concept mixed in, very intriguing. Void/creation/return to origin

Steven Myer

Hope he shows up at the Primal hangout.

Steven Myer

I have always assumed Villy intercepted the information from being sent, not like he isn't always watching. But the writing didn't feel that way.

BumAssBumAss

Villy did that. There is no way he wouldn't know what Jake shared and was on the lookout for snitches.

Sammot

Honestly I think it's gonna be happing late b or in a tier if he wants a supreme soul flame, I feel like its to rare for him to get it within c tier.

BumAssBumAss

Maybe it touches the concept of the void. Sword Saint previously said that the void is too unstable to use as a canvas.

Sammot

Hundred percent just villy, he has always one incarnation or clone or whatever it's called watching Jake. If it was anyone else than villy than villy would know who it was and thus it wouldn't matter

Numbzy

99% sure that Villy smited him when he tried to send the recordings of Jake's mana out.

kingofshibainu

Perennial seems like one half of this primeval affinity Jake has, then what is destruction related to?

Michael

Right, but if the poison was to be empowered by Jake's bloodline, wouldn't that just make the poison damn near impossible to fight off. Especially since that red energy/instinct that lies within Jake's energy would actively fight against the one the poison is inflicted on

KollegvomMirgan

Did we find out who killed the barrier mage who inspected Jake's stable arcana mana barrier and gave him bracers and a perception ring? Was just remineded of him while Jake was doing impossible stuff with his arcane mana again....

Ivo Wißen

I hope so

BB8ALREADY

Bros making man made horrors beyond comprehension lol

Eiv

I am itching to know the discussion in the gods room 🙈

Taj Malloy

I feel like maybe Jake and Eron will become a different type of god if they make it that far

Ivo Wißen

I realy want to know what arnold does in the hous of achitekt

Nate Green

Fake typo!

JJB4345_80_815

And Eron is currently beating Jake 4-2 in that department! (I'm assuming that the Grimoire of Jake counts as well) Unless I am forgetting another of Jake's submissions that require such draconian secrecy measures (against the Primordial Dragon)? 😁

Jonathan

more akin to a naturally occurring piece of metal than a pure mana construct mana. more akin to a naturally occurring piece of metal than pure mana-construct mana. Even if a metal or earth maga mage

Seiryus

It could be useful, but the primary issue is that while the orb won't decay naturally, it can be destroyed. Poisons don't usually go away naturally, they are fought off by those who are infected.

BelligerentGnu

Man, I really want to see the architects full thoughts on Jake's ten.

Drew

Typo: earth maga summoned -> earth mage summoned

Aerlevsedi

And so begin my endless thoughts about Jake surpassing S grade by becoming something fundamentally different from a God using his origin energy instead of divinity. Which will only be exacerbated by the lack of knowledge on what that might imply.

JJB4345_80_815

I was thinking the same thing! Also, that Eron created 4 separate [redacted] submissions is crazy! Sounds like he got a 25% achievement. I'm getting the vibe that the Daofather and Eron are going to come into play more post Nevermore (Benevolent Monk Soulfist Daolord stuff and Eron's goal)

Dave

Great chapter ty

JJB4345_80_815

Marbles are never useless, especially in combat. Just throw a bunch of those marbles at your enemies feet, watch them slip and fall on them and suddenly die from the subsequent humiliation. Maybe Jake will earn the title "Soul Marble Dao Lord." In all seriousness, with the Benevolent Monk/Soulfist Daolord saying something about him continuing to improve his Arcane energy and calling him a Harbinger I can't help making an association with this submission.

BumAssBumAss

Eron is going to seriously hound Jake if he learns Jake can make something like this.

Victor Augusto Dantas Ferreira

Double down and say it was a trump joke 🤣🤣

Tyler S.

The Cradle being dismissed saddened me, was really hopeing that if he spent maybe another 6 months or so infusing it to get a Pinnacle tier. Guess thats going to be a post Nevermore achievement. Tyftc Zog

JJB4345_80_815

Congrats on being first! Thank you for the chappy Zogarth!

Michael

Given how we've heard records be discussed time and time again, if Jake just made something everlasting with his "Jake juice" wouldn't that technically mean he could start eventually crafting poisons, potions, elixirs, origin cores, etc with perennial capabilities

Taj Malloy

TFTC I'm kinda surprised that Eron submitted items similar in importance to Jake he is kinda scary in his own right

Areshan

I'm going to call Jake juice GOAT energy in my head now lol.

Jake’s gonna become “divine”, though I guess a better word would be immortal, without become a divine isn’t he

Adam

I get the feeling this dungeon is frustrating to a bunch of Gods who are used to seeing whatever they want to see. They've probably just seen Jake collecting materials, wandering about, terrorising the natives and (redacted).

Jake once more proves himself to be the Vipers chosen by gifting a Totally Not Useless Marble. The little Brother of a totally not useless Orb.
