ShreddedShark

Duuuuude I just realised - nahoom, the species of Ell'Hakan, is just 'hooman' rescrambled XD

ZexityAir

Where's Artemis? :( I really want to see how they interact and they still haven't met even though she said she would meet him after nevermore

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Ray Light

I kept thinking this event was for this universe (in a sense it is). But it seems the event is actually for the Milky Way first. Also makes sense how the teleportation is done (distances are a lot shorter than I thought). I wonder if the next event is one for the galactic cluster?

Kconraw

Thx for the chapter

Rachel Clements

TYFTC!

M e

I read the first paragraph as he's not capable of auguring the paths of gods because it's way beyond his level, and they're capable of shrouding themselves from scrying. And I read the second as, there's no point in trying to see what would happen if Yip of Yore killed Villy, because he already knows Jake would go full nuclear and burn everything to the ground or die trying.

Jake Atwood

I don’t like his affiliation but I love the complexity it adds to his character his interactions are always good

Troy Telford

I am not liking Jacob's current affiliation- but the way he seems conflicted a little about the Holy Church overall - I really hopes this developed into him eventually breaking ties with them. Being a free Augur agent would be cool

Trevor Mergen

Thanks!

Olof Karlsson

Thanks for the chapter!

Luke Scheffe

Why would he? Jake doesn’t make a habit of killing those too weak to resist.

Micah Molina

That is possible. But it doesn't seem like Jake's where it's got it's own awareness, so it would have to be self imposed, most likely. Tbf, even Jake and Eron are a bit delusional, but they at least know how to have social interactions with people. EH just seems straight up entitled and loses his head when his bloodline fails to get what he wants.

Dirk Gent Lee

Can he use his bloodline to affect himself? I wonder if there is some level of self hypnosis/self delusion required for his path, and that he has a minimal awareness of this

Joseph Dizdar

First paragraph is saying that he's only C grade and can't forsee past a battle involving Gods, due to lacking the strength to do so. The second is him saying he doesn't think Villy has any chance of losing, so even if he had the strength, why bother trying to see what would happen if he did lose. It'd just be a "what if" that will never come to pass.

DirePants

Great chapter. Always nice to see the other side. I can never decide if I want more of these or if it’s fine the way it is lol

Andrew Lavoie

I see it as Jake views himself as second to none in his path or similar paths as for EH he just thinks he's 100% the best at everything

JJB4345_80_815

Yes, thank you for the chappy Zogarth!

Micah Molina

That's true, but I'm pretty sure his bloodline isn't a secret after Nevermore in the multiverse.

HardcoreLace756

It would only get him killed by those he can't corrupt, since his bloodline can affect those higher up.

Justin Maher-Smith

Tyftc Zogarth. Am I the only one who sees the parallels between what is happening with the holy church (globalism) and the order (individualism), with what we are seeing in the world today. It’s like EH is a cooperate journalist. When it’s the holy church controlling everything that is ok, but if it’s the malefic order then that is bad. Very American Zogy 😂

Potato Master

Love how EH thinks that Jake is the one who will regret making an enemy out of him, and that there’s no way he could ever lose. Even though he’s the one who, one, started it, and two, isn’t confident enough to fight Jake head on.

Xien

#justpunchhim... No? Not a good look for the augur? Everybody needs therapy... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

John Durrett

I find it hilarious that El is talking how the Church wants total control and thats fine, but the Malific Viper Organization (An Organization!) doing its thing is "wild". Its so relevant to external conversatins as well when one side is all about control and order...but another organization or an individuals freedom to choose is "Wild" and "Out of Control"...no their out of YOUR Control, not the same.

John Durrett

or amongst themselves than "to" address an external threat.

John Durrett

There is always a perspective and risk. Like any Faith or Organization - its strength is in its numbers. The smaller the number the more fragile, once large enough even a cult becomes a Religion - just as a village grows to become a country, nation, sovereign - provided they can protect and keep its borders. El can be hurt by exposed lies - but with sufficient numbers he can afford for a LOT of members to peal off if truths come out, others will stay out of their own sense of loyalty, justice, etc. Jake is a lone hunter. His risks are that he must take on creatures way above his level to advance and grow - that is risk #1. The second is that no hunter alone is completely safe. Unless he has trusted companions, he has to sleep sometime, performing alchemy and other skill leveling tasks will take his attention..but bloodline provides some measure of advanced warning. What doesnt seem to be called out yet when calling a Path good/bad etc... is that the Path changes! The options can lead to so many variations - including heretic that to say a path is wrong is soooo shortsighted.

Conclave

Indeed, we love to hate the orange fuck. First, out of empathy for everyone he hurted when he came to Earth ; second, cause he's the kind of person that grew as some precious little thing. Dude had control over his world even before Multiverse arrival, so he's basicly born with a silver spoon in mouth. He want to see him struggle, fail, explode in rage... Cause he's too confident. Either this will be his end, or maybe he can finally understand Jake ain't just one of his toys.

deednam

I really like the dichotomy between EH and jake they both belive themselves inferior to none but show it in very different ways it's really good story writing

TheRealRoadie

Pretty sure he was born at the age of 80

Azayrian105

It is Elky’s bloodline. Everyone just agrees with his opinions all the time and so with no feedback to go against he will forever assume he is in the right.

Vaporizer312

EH truly believes that the Church is working with him because they think he is going to win, not that they just want to hinder people associated with the Viper They have barely invested any resources into his conflict

Micah Molina

SS doing SS things is always welcomed! Finally Jacob taken a stand in some regard. It's not huge, but good to see some growth! One thing brought to light, EH is actually delusional into thinking he has no equals. Dude really isn't use to talking to people with differing opinions. That alone would probably get him killed as he approaches higher grades.

Luke Scheffe

I don’t think he’ll switch sides, just use the heretic blessed path. He’ll try to change the church from the inside, because that’s just what kind of person he is.

Luke Scheffe

I think he’s saying that it’s such a ridiculous future that it wouldn’t actually bring any value to see it. He knows that the child’s path is based on yip’s path. And he has already isolated flaws in elly’s path. How can he doubt that the malefic viper could find the same?

Michael Jewell

I am not really sure what Jacob is getting at here, is he saying to divine a battle between God's is fruitless or is he implying something else? "As for what would happen if Yip of Yore managed to actually slay the Malefic Viper… such a future wasn’t even one Jacob could begin to augur. Nor was he convinced it would be worth doing even if he was capable of trying."

Michael Lambus

Just because it got introduced in 1953 doesn't mean he would ride it he could have been in his 40s or 50s But it's still hilarious how he hates them yet due to his pride he will never show it

Yaldabaoth

Ell-Hakan is a damn good character, Zog. All I see in the comment section is hate for this guy, so well* done on that. He's the character we love to Hate, or so it seems.

Jaydan Man

It baffles me that the church don't see that jake will wipe out the Cheeto and anyone that bares his bloodline at some point

Noah Jackson

Tyftc!!!

Simon Andriessen

For some reason I already assumed he would be an older man being dragged to these 'theme-park' things, half fed-up that he even needed to be there before even stepping on a ride.

Preston Stokes

I can't wait for Jake to kill Ell'Hacunt. He is the umbridge of this arc.

joel southard

Nice thank you for the chapter

Bushninja

Been thinking along these lines for a while

Zizawah

Disagree with Jake's path being fragile. His path is not based on lies like he's an angelic being born of moon and sun. Nor that he's a great ruler who brought salvation to the masses. Jake's simply Jake. Take it or leave it. He's not there to rule over anyone. Just leave him be and he'll leave you alone. There's nothing fragile there nor unstable for Jake's path. Only Jake's overconfidence and risky behavior is potentially detrimental to him.

Sean Shivers

The first rollercoaster was introduced to japan in 1953. Given that miyamoto was 18 in ww2... he was in his 30s at least when he rode his first roller coaster. Which makes the way he talks about the experience very funny.

Phasmatic7

Thankies for the chapie zogie!

Rui

i don't think the Church cares about the conflict, what they care about is the Bloodline, as long as they get it before El'hakkan and Jake fight it out, they don't care about that conflict at all.

Henscratch

It’s win-win for the church. He wins and they get an awesome bloodline. Lose and take over everything he conquered with a massive population of those primed to devotedly follow someone without pesky logic.

Darren Dyke

The whole 999 strings being popped, I member

Sean

Why are there so many delusional orange people. Just let me read about Hunterman playing boardgames with his pseudo daughter.

Sean

I think it's been said already. They do not care about him in the slightest. But if he gives them bloodline babies they'll treat it like a transaction.

Vega

He seems to be in the best position he could be in though, as an Augur. There seems to only be 1 faith-based Primordial out of the 12, and he’s serving her. I don’t think he has many options, with his Path being so specific. And it’s not like most factions aren’t problematic either. The Order enslaves entire planet populations. The only difference is that Jake has the luxury of not needing to do the Viper’s dirty work. But Jacob is an Augur - someone who’s whole profession is influencing others. He was always going to have to do the dirty work.

DDHG

Jacob referring to Ell'Hakan path as the path of delusions reminded me of that scene from DBZ of Vegeta crying about how he wants to be special and a super Saiyan. I think orange boy is like that.

Dalton

I like his whole path of delusion I mean the man is a lie really. Great chapter

Jordan Rogers

I’m looking forward to Jake giving Jacob one of his grimoirs and inviting him to be the heretic augur of the malefic viper ….

Seen Death

I could be extremely wrong, but i dont think there are many negatives from the churchs perspective, even if(when) yip /EH get obliterated by Viper/Jake Even though the blightfather and the church are sworn enemies on the outside, its basically a managed war that makes both factions benefit I want to say something similar is happening with the churchs support towards Yip Also, from what ive seen i think theres almost comradarie between all the primordials- defintely something large and secret going on in the background which has kept them from directly fighting eachother all these eras

Archmage37

And he isn't even in the top 5 in the new universe so that's even more scary.

Andromeda Adams

Tyftc. The Sword Saint did such a good job. Man, do I feel bad for Jacob. That’s a bad spot to be in, EH can’t say he wasn’t warned though.

Mat

EH not listening to Jacob makes sense. Following the path from the guidelines of an Augur seems like the best way to achieve mediocre. Remember Augurs do not fight fate so who achieves true power by just doing what is fated? I think if Jacob could see Jake’s path he would make the same exact remakes about fragility and stability.

Michael mann

I love that Ol’Cheeto thinks that someone can talk Jake out of killing him. Like it can be misunderstanding to be smoothed out. The moment Chris died, the death warrant was signed. The Hunter will have his prize

Mat

The Holy church is fishing in mad waters.

Ty Cooper

Love the old man vibes so much. The SS is such a great character. His parts always have me chuckling.

Clint

Would love to see the conversations with his higher-ups in the Church. Do they really think EH has a chance, or are they just playing him? Like is their end goal EH running to them for protection when it all falls apart, so they can have his Bloodline babies?

Liam

another great chapter

David W. Baijense

Jake the Hunter Grudge, imagine if he became cursed like his student, would he be a sinning grudge curse? The Primal Grudge Wraith

D

Nice

Kt-x

Thanks for the chapter

Doggos R. Puppers

Jacob straight up going "you're gonna die on this path due to your foolishness" and going "I would use divination for some long shots but your side winning is just not worth wasting time guessing"

Tyler Owens

Address -> addressing

Jana

Jacob is in a really shitty situation. I don’t envy him. Sure, he somewhat brewed the Soup he is now stewing in but I can’t help but sympathise a little.

SmokeJam

You literally typed the same xD "more about" should be the phrase I suppose

SmokeJam

Tftc, first time we get another character be more concrete about EHs future, and an augur at that. Small typo in that sentence from Myamotos monologue: Factions that are more than interested [...] because its leaders care about about fighting -> more about fighting [...] than

Jonathan

still there seemingly ripe for the taking because its leaders care about about fighting amongst themselves than address an external threat.” seemingly ripe for the taking because its leaders care more about fighting amongst themselves than addressing an external threat.”

Cory Sauls

TFTC. I’m enjoying all of the other PoV’s.

Darshar Griffonmane

Cheeto has been told what he wants to hear for so long that he is losing the ability to understand that reality does not always match what he wants to hear. That and I don't think he realizes that the Hunter holds grudges, and is more than willing to wait a very long time to deal with grudges at the correct time. Also bloody hilarious that the Sword Saint is only -one- of the insane powerhouses coming out of Earth. Poor galaxy. great chapter and thank you!

Namorat

”Truly, your overcautious is wholly unnecessary,” - overcautiousness? Or “you being overcautious“?

Reno

overcaution? https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/overcaution

Matthias

Tftc

AfroMocha

Dope!!

Ollie

My bad!!

Exaiter

All we need is one of the cards in el cuntos house to fall, the rest will crumble

Zizawah

“”Truly, your overcautious is wholly unnecessary” — excessive caution? Overcautiousness? Thanks for the chapter!

Unlisted Pokémon Hudson

Hey it’s zog

Lee Singleton

Ttfc

Zogarth

Nah, Primas. Remember one had to kill three to make a key to do the event back then, and the more you killed, the harder this event would be. At least it was one of the contributing facotrs.

Ollie

"hunting down regular Primas before the Myriad Paths event". I guess you meant regular monsters or beasts here?

Zogarth

Fix

Tyler Owens

“care about about fighting amongst themselves than address an external threat.” To -> “care about about fighting amongst themselves than addressing an external threat.”

Jayce Sul

Tftc!!

Reno

Zog says there is no schedule but the chapters are more reliable than my lunch notifications on my phone's calendar...
