So what happened to Jake’s bloodline upgrading with him? From F to C the first thing Jake had to do was rein in his bloodline, yet here nothing.. Zog even mentions it when discussing with Villy that he is different because his bloodline upgrades.

From the way I read it, the way Zog wrote it might be right. When he has nothing (or lacks peak gear) the stats are automatically distributed. Jake could wear certain armor to force the automatic stat allocation to go in the direction he prefers. It was stated that some of these stats were allocated by the system into categories that Jake didn't find beneficial to his archery.

I am assuming it will be something to do with the void. On the other hand, Arnold has been described as a person that aligns with people that are most beneficial to him at the time. So locking himself in with the void could be counter to who he is, because maybe one day he wouldn't want to be linked to it. Cyborg would be interesting but that would align him strongly with the Altmer (I hope I am not thinking of Skyrim here) Empire. When it comes to Arnold, there is really no way to be sure. Zog could go anywhere with this character. I am expecting some sort of equipment upgrade in the next chapter or two, probably a nice sword upgrade.

The supporting characters are so well written, I’d say this of many of them. I’d love a spinoff off the Noboru Clan and the Sword Saint. How is their vampirism going and how are they changing the multiverse by being such a prominent clan in the new universe that has chosen to embrace it? And a limited series of Caleb, Sylphie, Draskil, or the Golden Forest King would be welcomed!

Fun chapter. Just a mini test run but still fun to get Jake’s first impressions of his new build. As far as Arnold’s variant race, it has to be something mechanized. Everyone not from earth always compares him to the Automata when they first encounter. Can’t wait to see what he picked and hear his no doubt very logical reason.

Small little space nugget: Even though Venus's orbit is closest to Earth, due to the orbits revolving around the sun at different speeds TECHNICALLY Mercury is USUALLY the closest planet to Earth. Sometimes it's Venus, but apparently because of Mercury having the smallest orbital variance it is usually the closest planet to all of the other planets as well, including each of the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus). Kinda weird, right?
