I think i have a serious problem with "the primal hunter" books, i love the audio books alot, just finsihed the last one. 13 i think, and im back to staring them again, into book 3. I find each time , i pick up some tid bit i missed in my 1st listen. im sure I have some warpped addiction but i love the story and the voice in the audio book really helps me during my commute. or relaxing before bed. I use the patreon to keep up with whats coming down the pipe. i can hardly wait for book 14 and beyound to hit audio book. anyway, I hope to see Jake well into godhood and beyound , this story is really good.

Zog is holding the reveal of the golden empire until sometime Jake is about to face an army when a shitload of high level beasts start showing up on the battleground. Jake thinks a third force has joined the fracas until Groot shows up and says it's his followers he's helped.

while driving home, instead of paying attention, I thought up an ending for the series. Jake reaches godhood and has some adventures...some of which bring up the concern that the viper is fattening jake up for dinner. Take a time skip. Come back to a battle between jake and villy. Villy ends up winning and looks down at jake and says, " you got the battle you dreamed of. unfortunately, you weren't ready " villy reaches down and removes his prize from jake and opens the storage box and takes out a golden leaf to place on jake's corpse. the viper then quickly removes his arms and legs and places some wounds on his body before laying down next to jake with two Katars in his chest. when jake opens his eyes he sees an unconscious viper next to him. "damn, nearly had him that time."

The SS also doesn't get stats from gear but an equivalent kind of like how Jake Spirit of Man works. As far as how they synergize, it seems complicated and not something Jake or Zog will ever fully hash out.

Unrelated to my other comment: I am relistening to the audiobooks and yall ever notice how long the minaga labyrinth is? Nevermore starts in book 10 and ends about half way through book 12. Minaga some fucking how managed to take up chapter 9 through 57… 48 chapters of minaga. Thats the majority of book 10. Now im not complaining, but aint it just like minaga to just selfishly take a whole third of an arc to himself?

Sure, but with the intent to take the knowledge from them to work towards mass producing legendary C-grade chest and legs to sell for research funding and rarer materials. He didn't need then back for resources or records to roll into the next set like he does the void katar. He needs that back because the blade was made by an exceedingly rare void material that he wants to recycle into other projects.

I also remember when El Hakan tried to poach Arnold that Arnold did not fear death from El Hakan but did fear the possibility from Jake hence why declined the offer

A problem with a protagonist being a glass cannon is that glass cannons usually have some other character to protect them. Many stories have revolving casts and times when the protagonist has to go it alone. Being too squishy limits that creative freedom. And from the names I recognize from the glass cannons, they never became fully superior beings. They were humans with powers. All the bruisers I recognize are pretty much no longer human, even if they can appear to be one. When you transfer to cosmic scale BS, being able to be killed by losing focus a single time means you fail too often for the story to be reasonable. Then we get into plot armor and characters being too special.

Very creepy. Just the thought makes me feel abit nauseous. All those eyes pearing from the darkness within his skull. That is some eldrich horror shit right there! I always saw Arnold as abit of a geek. Nothing really to worry about. A threat to nobody. But just that alone makes him feel close to being a monster. I really wouldnt be suprised if he ended up becoming an antagonist at some point later in the future. Super curious on how he will evolve as the series progresses

So how exactly does Spirit of man synergize with his ring from the prima guardian event with it's effect of boosting the stat cap? Is this limit boost just from items or what because both SS and Carman had an effect from theirs now that their stats are brought up it seems relevant. Carman would be closer to Jake in this particular regard as she is getting her equipment stat bump from existing as a rune maiden.

Uh doesnt Jake get more Stats than a standard human? IIRC he got a mash of classes and a Boni on 9 different stats, normal Humans only get a Bonus for 6 different stats by choosing 2 directions. Jake was now a variant human, but his race gave the exact same stats as any other human, and no matter which human variant one got, those stats would never change. The stat allocation could change, but the total wouldn’t.
