Don't know if it matters, because the descriptions are basically the same, but he was also offered an even better purification at 320. Like I said I don't think the change matters but it's odd he refers to the older epic offer instead of the newer ancient one. Keen to see his new legendary/mythical version though!

Thanks for the chapter

Duskleaf impatiently asks villy for the tenth time, "can I ask him now?"
brjenness
Reduce it to its most basic state... everything explodes... big bang theory

Vilas is probably deep in thought about the last part of the description. "Unknown uses". As the best alchemist in existence imagine seeing an ingredient never before seen vanish almost immediately after inspecting it.
Nate
It sounds like something the King could use to more deeply comprehend just how gold something can truly be.
Deborah
I checked and he used this skill to clean his house once. Do you think he'll make a primal room of lesser origin energy?
Josie
Wait.. when he masters this will he be able to craft a Full Recovery Potion? There's complex potions that give more than 1 resource, so maybe he could make one that maxes Health, Stamina, and Mana with a 1 hour cool down too afraid to even think about Primeval poisons
Joshua Little
Thanks for the chapter.

Hmm "...will lose material integrity imminently..." Obviously this was a successful failure- proof of concept that jake is not trying something literally impossible even for him This material has no known uses, and might not really have any even if studied If he manages to make the integrety stronger could it have uses? Is this more of a physical manifistation of the (lesser) Concept of gold... there is a chance that adding stability inherently makes it an even lesser version of itsself: potentially all the way down to being regular gold Jake may not understand the concept of gold- but that should be meaningless because his lesser origin energy basically has all of the knowledge baked into its existence But jake is still somewhat adapting how the energy is mixing with whatever item hes trying to modify... I am interested in seeing where this is going haha Im having trouble even wording a better explaination of my thoughts
Josie
For some reason this chapter reminds me of something Artemis said back in the POL. She said that as a hunter she sees herself as a balance within nature and a part of the ecosystem, but that Jake's energy feels at war with nature itself - like he's an invasive species. Maybe this energy has something to do with it?
Xander
TFTC :) Suggested edits: "which wasn’t far off *,* reducing something to its" this comma breaks up a single thought. Ditch it.

Fun stuff! New ground even for Vilas! It also sounds cool. Who wouldn't want some Primeval Gold?
Tamathon
If he’s going to start working with metals, do you think the Automata Legion or the Altmar Empire will show up soon?!
Powers
Well, it’s a localized explosion. It can’t be remote, as Jake himself has to keep pouring in the LPE to transform anything in the first place. Other than that, LPE has no destructive will, only a will to change. Zog mentions in this chapter that things are only exploding because of “forced unstable change”, thus, the arrow would just explode in Jake’s face. It doesn’t even do real damage.
Rewdan
Thanks Zogarth great chapter
Josie
Love how the description of the Primeval mote reads as "Unknown uses" Like even the System is asking wtf just happened lol
Lemonsqueezy
The essentially do the same thing, but I agree. They both use mirrors, but just in a different way. A telescope would be a terrible microscope as the images would be quite blurry, and visa verse.
Paul Martin
Where do you get that from ? I thought the past of Duskleaf was still a secret
Lemonsqueezy
As I am reading it, unless the thing he is adding it to is a form of a singular pure energy it explodes almost instantly. This is due, to what I believe, is the fact that the origin energy can only enhance one of the energies and thus makes the entire thing unstable. I am guessing that as he upgrades the skill he will be able to enhance multiple energies at once, and eventually be able to do it to all the energies in an ingredient. Ultimately enabling him to use it in the same capacity he does when he uses it in his formations when he "upgrades" a creature.
Lemonsqueezy
It is time for a montage and a few "bite of life" chapters as we wait for the Seat of the Exalted Prima event.
Lemonsqueezy
So his Lesser Primeval Energy skill causing things to explode. Couldn't he use this as a sort of poison for his arrows? Just at a bit on the tip of an arrow and when it enters the body of a foe it causes and explosion inside the body as it mixes with the plethora of energies? Effectively making a magic missile, or explosive arrow. I think it would be effective if Zog went with it because in this universe everyone essentially becomes mostly magical rather than biological.
Siethrobo
If he uses his mote on oil will it turn back into algae?

This feels like we're about to get side character chapters. Which I am here for.

will jake put crocodiles in his mote or fill it with oil that can be set on fire?

Primeval bling when?
Fulminis
Because I don't think he's intending to merge it with his arcane affinity, but merging it with the lesser primeval energy. An energy that he doesn't fully understand or know how to control yet, so it'll take hard work
Grimm Poe
Why would it be difficult when he already has an idea of what his arcane energy would do if he added it into the process?

What would happen of Jake infused his origin energy on food? Would it revert to its base ingredients, would it taste better, or would it spontaneously explode as you brought it to your mouth? I need answers.

Sylphie is pretty volatile, maybe they're all just bombs with a very long fuse...
Bruno Daxo
So we're going to focus this book a bit on alchemy... it had to happen eventually, I'm just curious to know when Jake will discover that Duskleaf is the father of vampires...
Josie
Jake being a Primeval Alchemist is not going as smoothly as I thought it would 😅 I guess I assumed the energy would react like his Soulflame and naturally obey him because it's uniquely his. But this stuff is.. rambunctious

I think it needs to be Balanced. Using the groundwork of others and looking for inspiration is great, but it should not limit his imagination. I think Jakes big advantage is his ego. He wants something and just decides to make it possible, no matter what others say is feasable

Hmm… so what I’m hearing is that several of Jake’s friends are lucky they never exploded. Got it. Fun chapter!

I think it will be a unique skill. Nobody else will have Jake Juice or his Arcane Affinity, which this skill will use more than anything else. Also Arnold was talking about having several unique skills and I think that was minor foreshadowing.

A mote of progress. Nice pun that didn’t reveal itself as a pun until the end of the chapter.

It was a mote of the void. Like the world just decided to open there. Close. But not the same. And not something jake can replicate for a long ass time

Although unstable, Jake casually making legendary items with primeval energy is insane. One of the big hurdles of high level craftsmen is finding high quality ingredients. With his primeval energy, Jake is produce those high level ingredients without having to cash out his savings or even break out his wallet.

Thanks for the chapter. Good one, research about his own Lesser Jake Juice. Yeah!

Turning the long ignored purification skill into a Primeval purification skill, amazing planning by Jake to save it for that possibility all this time /s
Seiryus
Pure water is bad for humans irl as it tends to remove electrolytes from our body. I imagine that in PH's world it would work the same for G, F and maybe E-Grades, while everyone else doesn't need water to live.
Phoenixdrop
Okay so purification is about to become absolutely busted once we reach the end of this skill upgrade research arc I’m expecting mythical at minimum if not the non divine version of a sacred rarity skill whatever that would be (I’m like half expecting that transcendent skills are just skills above mythical that don’t involve anything divine but still that’s just like a crack pot theory I have that probably isn’t close to being true as transcendent skills literally break the system they’re so op so you know whatever I just can’t wait to see how Jake’s new skill turns out)
brjenness
You know... a normal student at the order might check for courses on purification when wanting to improve a skill. That thought traps me in the debate of: Viewing others ideas would limit Jake's creativity and rewards from the upgrade. VS Yo, Jake. Smart people have been doing this for millenia. Might want to see what they came up with.

Good chapter, Cant wait to see what primeval things are concocted

First off, great chapter! Second: required a telescope to even see➡️ required a microscope. Telescopes are for seeing far distance, microscopes for seeing tiny things
