is it me, or does the sheet music not quite align with what you are playing in the video?

No, I'd say they're just different enough to be maddening - the wood flute/tin whistle is so linear whereas the Boehm flute system always felt more random to me. I'm sure it isn't and in truth it's vastly more versatile but of course that versatility is not terribly useful in Irish music. As for where to start, if it's Irish music that you're after I'd say start with the tin whistle and work out the fingers there and use the flute for embouchure practice. Not sure if this the appropriate place to ask questions as this is day one of my Patreon experience. Also day of my flute experience. Q. Does the 8 key wooden simple system flute have roughly the same fingerings as the Boheme metal flute? If not, what are the differences. I have wondered this for some time as I would like to learn both and know many flutist do play both. I have yet to find the answer though despite the numerous resources available in our age. Thanks. Second Q. Where do I start, and is there an order of videos I should work through as a day 1 beginner? I have a six hole simple system bamboo flute from "Erik the flutemaker" to start on.
