Idea dump for what Clickon's in-game battle would be like

You’d meet him selling some random thing, like “Premium Cotton Candy” but it always costs 1 dollar more than what you have (like the Freezering), so you wouldn’t be able to buy it and would have to move on. But before he can disappear off screen as you walk past, he stops you and questions how could you not buy the Premium Cotton Candy, and pretends to act upset.
He tries to guilt trip you with fake tears, but Susie quickly calls him out on it and insults him, calling it a ‘cheap tactic’. Ralsei says it’s ‘weak marketing’. This pisses Click off so he challenges you to a battle to show who’s REALLY weak and cheap.
“You three don’t stand a chance against me! You’re so tiny, you should be terrified!”
Cue fight: “Clickon baits you into battle.”
Battle theme would be something like this
Neutral flavour texts:
“The battlefield smells like overpriced bubblegum.”
“Clickon clicks his tongue impatiently.”
“Clickon flashes an award winning smile.”
“You hear the clicking of heels.”
“You feel a slight chill.”
“Clickon acts like he is in a fighting ring.”
ACT options are:
Kris: Check, Bargain, Flatter (S-Action), Flatter (R-Action)
(later during battle, each ‘Flatter’ will switch to ‘Scare’)
Susie: Flatter
Ralsei: Flatter
CHECK: “ Self proclaimed ‘Cyber City’s most popular Addison’. Never lets his guard down. “
In order to defeat him you have to get all of his guard down by either Bargaining with or Flattering him. And then once his guard is down, you have to Scare him.
His attacks include:
- Cursors moving in various patterns, usually ones that follow or lock in on the Soul, circling around it, think Undyne the Undying but lesser
- Shoes that stomp through the hitbox, up and down
- Bubblegum bubbles on either side that expand and then pop into a bunch of tiny little hearts that float through the hitbox
- A ‘growth arrow’ that starts from the bottom corner and then moves up towards the soul
- Some hearts scattered around the hitbox, arrows/cursors will move in from one side (aiming towards the soul?) and if a cursor hits a heart, the heart splits in half and the two halves move outwards
- Some knife attack maybe
- During any attack, the Click-sprite himself will summon a cursor-spear/sword thing and aim it at the soul during the attack, once the attack ends and the bullets fade away he will quickly throw it towards the soul
Neutral dialogue from Click:
“Click here to find your soulmate! … Error! No soulmate found. Ohhon!”
“You look like you could use a makeover! A little injury should do the trick.”
“Click here for great fashion deals! Looks so sharp, they could kill! Ohhon!”
“This is what happens when you miss out on a deal, shortstack!”
“You can always be stronger, dodge quicker.”
“Battle so good, I should be charging you for this! Ohhon!”
(If wearing Dealmaker) “Time to buy new eyewear! Those glasses look like trash! What pawnshop did you get them from? Hah…”
(If Ralsei is wearing Puppet Scarf) “Did you get tangled in a power line or something? What are you wearing, little man? Seriously, it looks disturbing.”
Various Acts:
Bargain, first time:
Click: “Ohhon! Click here for great fashion deals! We have all sizes! Even yours, unfortunately. Buy a brand new pair of Dating Shoes now! For you and… hmm…”
- He presents you with a pair of Dating Shoes and a choice on who to pick. Your choices are: Susie, Ralsei, Me, You
If chosen ‘Susie’:
Susie: “Huh? Kris, you want to share this trash with me? Wow, should’ve known your taste in fashion is as weird as everything else about you… Wait, do we just get one shoe each??!!”
Click: “Uh, yeah? You don’t have much dating experience, do you?”
Susie: “How about I make you wear this shoe yourself! It’ll fit on your face!!”
- Susie’s ATTACK increases, Click’s guard decreases
If chosen ‘Ralsei’:
Ralsei: “O-Oh! Kris, I’m so flattered! … Umm, so do we just… get one shoe each? … But we are totally different sizes…”
Click: “Hmph. Guess you’re not that compatible then.”
Ralsei: “Don’t worry, Kris! I’ll just hold it!”
Susie: “?????”
- Ralsei’s DEFENCE increases, Click’s guard decreases
If chosen ‘Me’:
Click: “What? Yourself? I suppose that would be like… self love…? … DUMBASS. WE DON’T SELL SELF-LOVE HERE!! IF PEOPLE LOVED THEMSELVES, WE’D GO OUT OF BUSINESS! EAT SHOES, SHORTY.”
- Click’s ATTACK increases, and he attacks you with a fast flurry of shoes, his guard decreases
If chosen ‘You’:
Click: “Me? Aw, well, I’m flattered… at your sorry attempt to SWEET TALK THE SALESMAN. THINK YOU CAN GET DISCOUNTS OFF OF ME, DON’T YOU? WELL, DISCOUNT THIS, SHORTY.”
- Click’s DEFENCE increases, his guard increases
Bargain, second time:
Click: “Ohhon! Do you have a sweet tooth? Well, we’re having a giveaway of our Couples Confectionery! If your hearts aren’t rotten yet, these candies will rot it for you and…”
- Again, he presents you with a choice between ‘Susie, Ralsei, Me, You’
If chosen ‘Susie’:
Susie: “Well, hey, free food is food, I’ll take it. … EUGH! That taste- What the hell is this?!”
Click: “Cavities!”
Susie: “Well, you can have your cavities back, candy cane.”
- Susie throws out the candy… but then-!
If chosen ‘Ralsei’:
Ralsei: “Aw, Kris, how sweet of you! Thank you for sharing! … V-very sweet, actually… Too sweet… B-but still very nice of you-”
- You take the candy back from Ralsei before he can get any more tooth damage, and throw it away… but then-!
If chosen ‘Me’:
Susie: “Really?! You’re not gonna share?!”
Ralsei: “That’s okay, Kris, you can have it if you want!”
Click: “Well, aren’t you a glutton! We could use more customers like you!”
- You eat the candy yourself. It’s so sweet. Unbelievably sweet. Disgustingly sweet. You are glad you did not put your friends through this. You throw the remaining candy away… but then-!
If chosen ‘You’:
Click: “Me? Oh, I see… TRYING TO SWEET TALK THE SALESMAN FOR BETTER DEALS AREN’T YOU?! WELL, DEAL WITH THIS, HALFLING.”
- (He does a super quick attack where he just throws a single wave of candy at you. The attack ends)
- Click throws the candy at you… but then-!
All choices lead to the same outcome:
“But then-!”
- (A poppup is summoned, saying “KIANDI! KIANDI! KIANDI!”)
Click: “Hey, what the- … Well, hah! If you think just one cute poppup will be enough to get my guard down, think again! Now I have an ally!”
- The battle continues as normal, but now there is a poppup that will summon pop up windows in the hit box to cover your view. It will also only say “KIANDI! KIANDI! KIANDI!” or “Click here! Click here! Click here!”
- There is also only one action for it, which is ‘Click’
If you ACT ‘Click’ on the Poppup
“You click on the Poppup…. It spawns more Poppups!”
- It spawns extra two poppups, all three of them surround Click going ‘KIANDI! KIANDI! KIANDI!’
Click: “WHAT. NO-NO-NO-NO- I can’t feed you all right now, I’m in the middle of something!!”
- “Click loses all his guard!”
- In the next attack after that, Click’s attacks will be all wonky and go outside the hitbox, meanwhile the hitbox itself will be filled with poppup windows
- Once the attack ends he shoos the Poppups away, and turns back to the gang, his guard fully decreased
- The Bargain option disappears?
Kris and Susie: Flatter, first time
Susie: “(Kris?! You want me to flatter this prick?! Fine…)
Susie: “Hey, candy cane, uhh… your ponytail looks… cool. Can I rip it off and keep it?”
Susie: “(How’s that?)”
Click: “Ah, hands off the merchandise… Don’t you have a tail yourself?”
Susie: “WHAT? No I don’t!! Who told you that?!”
Click: “Another lightner. Maybe she was wrong. Whatever, I don’t care.”
- “Click cares so little that his guard decreased.”
Susie: Flatter by herself, and subsequent Kris-and-Susie flatters:
- Susie stares at Click and motions with her finger across her neck. Click rolls his eyes. His guard decreased a little bit.
- Susie grabs a candy cane off the stand, motions it at Click, and snaps it in half. He walks over to tell her she has to buy it now. His guard decreased a little bit.
Kris and Ralsei: Flatter, first time
Ralsei: “Mr Addison, your suit looks very well tailored!”
Click: “Well, finally, at least one of you has an eye for quality? Wouldn’t you want a suit tailored just for you as well?”
Ralsei: “Oh well, I’m kind of fine with the outfit I have right now-”
Click: “But you said you liked it! I know just the Addison that can get you the makeover you need! All for a great deal!”
Ralsei: “I really don’t-”
Click: “Did you lie then?!”
Ralsei: “Nonono-! (K-Kris- help me-)”
- Seeing Ralsei panic made Click’s guard decrease
Ralsei: Flatter by himself, and subsequent Kris-and-Ralsei flatters:
- Ralsei tells Click that he would never install ad blocker against him. Click yawns. His guard decreased a little bit.
- Ralsei says that he likes Click’s attack patterns. Click tells him to stand in the attacks’ way if he really means it. Click’s guard decreased a little bit.
- Ralsei says that Click must have a lot of friends. Click looks distracted, his guard decreased a little bit.
Finally, when his guard is fully decreased:
Susie: “(Kris! Look, I think we finally got his guard down. I know what we should do now. We should freak him out. I have just the idea; we should JUMPSCARE him.)”
Ralsei: “(I actually have an idea too…)”
Kris’s options to Flatter(S) and Flatter(R) switch to Scare(S) or Scare(R)
If you pick Scare(S-Action)
- You let Susie try her idea
- She sneaks up on Click and ROARS in his face
- …
Click: “... What in the web was THAT?! Did you just try to scare me? I’ll have you know I’m a professional player of ‘The Scariest Game In Years™’!! Nice try, kid!”
- Click’s defence increased.
- (up to like half its max amount or something) Flatter options come back
If you pick Scare(R-Action)
Aaaand I’ve run out of motivation juice to write. Basically Ralsei’s idea is that they all stack up on one another to appear tall and make fun of Click for being short compared to them.
It scares Click so bad that he begins freaking out and insulting them until suddenly-
The entire battlefield goes white except for their black silhouettes…
And his tail dramatically pops off
And flops down beside him, flopping around like a fish
Visuals go back to normal, everyone is like O_O at it
A couple of rounds of “...” from everyone
And then Click goes “I will pay you to never speak of this.” and runs off screen
“You won! You gained XXX XP and XXX D$!”
And then he comes back real quick to snatch his tail and then runs off again
