All the new Rockstar Patrons in April have stickers in the mail to them and credits are up to date in this morning's video.
I wanted to say an extra thank-you to everyone who has stuck with me through this pandemic. I know that people are losing work, money is tight, and a weird niche YouTube channel is not very high on the list of household costs that people will keep. Those that have, I thank you. Those that have had to leave, I understand! It's okay, and I wish you the best. Keep watching my videos anyway- I hope they help you keep some normalcy. Thanks again, everyone!

Hope your toe gets better soon. Just don't be like me and go play sand volleyball when it is 80% healed. Broke it a second time and that one took awhile to finally get better.

Sorry to hear about the broken toe, Quinn. Makes it tough to work when you have to stand on those things. I had a cat accident yesterday. Opening one of those convenient pull tab cans to get Kitty her food, and the pull top got stuck. Being a man, "ain't no dad-blamed CAT food can gonna mess with my plans" so I gave it a good hard yank and drove the edge of the sharp lid into my hand. I washed it out well 'cause cat food got in the wound, but now have a strange urge to lick myself all over. It's a hard life, living with fingers and toes and stuff.

That's correct- this is a column mill, so the head moves up and down, but the table is vertically fixed. It's no problem to move the head down that far so that the quill can remain retracted for rigidity. Fly cutters are pretty easy going on rigidity because they are a single point cutter (which is why they are a good choice for small mills). The challenge here is the length of the material and the overhang it would have in the vice. It's going to want to sag and vibrate under the cutter.

I don't know if there's a way to reply directly to lens clips, so here it is. I'm no machining expert, but channeling this "Dunki" person... Your milling table doesn't move vertically? (That would be called a "knee", right?) If you clamp it all the way down on the bed, you'll have to extend the quill all the way. The fly cutter exerts a lot of lateral force, right? Wouldn't the extended quill cause a huge loss of rigidity which, combined with the fly cutter... might make things suck?
