The credits have been updated for everyone who joined at that level in May, and stickers are in the mail! If you've been thinking about upgrading to a higher tier to get access to the behind-the-scenes Lens videos, or you want some of those sweet sweet stickers, now is a great time! I mean, it's never a bad time to upgrade to a higher tier, just saying.
This month's not-so-hidden hidden book is The Amateur's Lathe by L.H. Sparey. This is a classic that has been reprinted a zillion times. Honestly, a lot of the information is a bit on the dated side in terms of tooling and such that are recommended, since it comes from a time when hobbyists didn't have the amazing range of cheap stuff that we have now. That said, the fundamentals are still sound it's a great addition to your machine shop bookshelf.
Thanks again everyone- this channel only exists because of all of you. Without the Patrons, Blondihacks would have died out years ago. It means the world to me that you all hang in there to keep this going!

I think that table should work fine. The company-supplied stand is really nothing to write home about. They are flimsy sheet metal things that serve to keep the mill out of the mud and not much else. You may want to upgrade the thickness of the top, but try it and see. You can always bolt a 3/8" steel plate or a 2" butch block to the top of it if it flexes too much.

Question: think ive ended up ordering the same mill you have (looks like a pm 25mv?), Im thinking of getting a welded steel frame "machine table" which steel anle legs welded to a 12 gauge table top and shelf. The point of this instead of the base the vendor sells is that their base doesnt accept leveling pads (that can also dampen sound/vibration teansmission to the concrete floor.) Do you think my alternative is risky for vibration transmission or even wobble during mill ooerations? Thanks Quin, your channel is super fab!
