I just join at 68 and keep getting emails/calls. If I answer & caller wants me to logon to mu laptop, I tell them they are scammers, of course they deny it. Sometimes they call me names, but regardless I hang up on them. Thank you so much for all you do, you are my hero.

I’m a real old lady, 78 years old and a prime target. I wish I had the knowledge to set up a virtual machine but since I don’t - I don’t let them on my computer. I do, however, take their calls and waste their time as long as I can - until they hang up on me or call me some vulgar name. You were the first scambaiter I found a few years ago, there are many now, all with different tactics, doing a great job. You are my number one hero, keep up the good work!

Indeed. I see what Jim does as much more like "white hat" hacking than any kind of vigilantism or baiting. That said, it's hard to feel too much sympathy with scammers who are the subject of that kind of treatment.

To be honest, I don't consider Jim to be a scambaiter. Most scambaiters just waste the scammers' time, and try to do so in a silly or amusing fashion. Jim actually takes action to stop the scammers or interfere with their scams, which I haven't really seen anyone else do before. It's in an entirely different category.

Hehe. Well, I like spreading to word about scams by any means possible. The channel doesn't aim to 'humiliate' scammers (there was a comment about this), but rather to do something about the scams. That said, there's no harm in having fun at a scammer's expense... The essence of scambaiting is to waste a scammer's time.
