Parents or Police?

I encountered a scammer who was sending fake PayPal, GeekSquad and Norton invoices in order to steal money from victims. He lived in Kolkata where the police are notoriously poor at stopping this sort of crime.
So I wondered if his parents would be more effective than the police at stopping him. This is what happened.

I would like to see all his family and their direct friends receive photos and video evidence of him scamming after the father said it would stop. Shaming family "name" is key hook to stop this. Only his family can stop him if you desire to 'go soft' on him as this video shows. Alternatively you unblurr and then it gets more ugly. Going soft on the family does nothing.

Excellent investigating and follow through ... this young guy lies soooo easily. I've heard scammers and regular citizens in all countries say things like 'the people that get scammed are stupid, they deserve it'. Wow, What an unrealistic view of an elderly, non-tech savvy person, many times suffering with confusion and/or fear. Thank you for exposing and raising awareness. β€οΈπ

Sic his parents on him, that is surely a brilliant move. Unfortunately in this case it isn't too effective, but we can hope he learns of the harm he is doing, in time. And until then, thank you for your continued efforts Jim!

I have always thought that a Panorama-type documentary should be produced in India profiling some of the victims of scamming. A story about an elderly lady losing all her money would shock the Indian public.Perhaps peer pressure and shaming of these people would be more effective than all the laws that are being ignored.

My goodness you would think his parents would have convinced him to stop scamming but I guess he prefer to have money over his own family what a shame wow what people will do for money is beneath me.
