This is much better! Also, in case the user's copy has a different time stamp (I've seen that in some cases - might be a regional thing), an occasional unblurring w/audio would really help us adjust to make sure we are staying in sync (seen this with other reaction channels and/or with stuff like Rifftrax which makes it much easier to ensure you are still in sync).

I am also subscribed to few who do the same however one of the ones I watched had legal issues last year due to studios who owned some of the content they had shared finding out that had done that. Patreon doesn't check copyright that is why they can post fully however if they are caught doing so it is illegal so not worth the risk, sadly. That is why a lot such as badd medicine and reel rejects as well as jack and dan get you to sync up. <3

YESSS PLEASEEEE I had such a hard time syncing Titanic because my streaming service has ads in it so if I forget to start or stop one stream then its off on the other! Time stamp would be AMAAZZZIIINNNGGGG

Exactly I don’t understand why they can’t just upload directly to Patreon? Other reactors do it and it’s fine. no blur or cover up. why pay for Patreon then ? I don’t want to have to sync my tv up.

This is great! One thing I will say is I’m subscribed to a few creators who are able to show copyrighted content. It seems (as a viewer) that they upload directly to patreon instead of adding a private YouTube link. I’m not sure if that is an option for you but figured I’d throw it out there! If not, I love the timestamp idea

Some shows and movies just let you show the full thing on screen, without interference. I’m subscribed to another channel that used to blur and put on a timestamp and now, they just show the full thing on screen and have no issue.

i personally don’t like a full blur on the screen. it makes me feel like i need my glasses on. i tend to like if captions are on you can still read them, but i still watch plenty of other reactors that also deal with copywrite issues like this so it won’t make me stop watching your videos by any means

tons of channels post the full reactions with no blur or overlay, they've been doing it for years, NOBODY cares or reports them, especially since we're paying to subscribe. I get you may not want to take the chance, but it's pretty common.

a great way I seen others do is doing a countdown to click play, and then showing the first 10 seconds of the video with a timestamp, that way the viewer can sync up. Then after the 10 seconds you blur the video, but still with time stamp

Love the timestamp overlay. I often have to pause/ get interrupted and the sync can get off, especially if I’m watching a disc from the library instead of streaming. This would definitely help:-)

That works well. The timestamp gets you close and being able to watch the blue and see when the camera angle/scene shifts, really enables you to get spot on with the sync, regardless of the video source being used for the watchalong

the blur doesn’t bother me! i would say timestamp would be most helpful, the only time i ever wanted the blur gone was so that i could see if my tv was synced up correctly! time stamp takes that problem out 😇 can’t wait for the next full length series, boys!

The timestamp is soooo helpful and the blur is so noninvasive. I actually really love this change up! I often have to pause for a moment during the full length watch-alongs so this will help so much getting it back on track immediately.

I like the time stamp but I think it’s too big.. maybe in the corner or bottom and smaller so you can see the blurred image moving but not have the time staring at you?

Definitely helpful guys. Just so you know, the blur etc is still needed as I know some movies run at different speeds in different countries. I’ve had it happen a bunch of times, so I’m really grateful we are keeping a blurred screen too to help stay in-sync for those that have versions different. Also some movies have extended editions in the US etc that aren’t listed as such. Whilst watching the Paranormal Activity 3 & 4 reactions on here, you guys had extended editions but mine was not that for some reason, so seeing the screen behind either writing or blurred is a HUGE help. Thank you for being so THOUGHTFUL of us guys. It means a lot, and it means we can watch in-sync with ease and be able to focus on what we are here for….watching your hilarious reactions!
