Flexi Factory Teddy Bears and Pinwheel
🕑 Added 2023-04-14 17:03:45 +0000 UTCUPDATE: First off...I do not recommend going 50%, 60% is better. Printed on the Bambu in 3 colors, .16 layer height, took almost 12 hours.
- Joints are good
- One of the pinwheels broke
- There is definitely a loss of detail.
And this was a hard print, with major color opposition. So there was some bleeding, not a ton though. Overall impressed that it made it through with very little issues!

Hi all! My colored prints are still in the works and I will update them soon:)
I have added:
- STLs for each bear, the pinwheel spinner and handle.
- 3mf 4 color for Bambu AMS
- 3mf 2 color for Prusa multi-extruding machines
There are a bunch of color options here with the 3 parts per bear...so I anticipate seeing a big variety from y'all. If you haven't see the photo post, here is the link to add photos.: https://albums.memento.com/flexifactoryphotos
And of course, we have a spot on discord too!
Happy Printing- Dan

Where can I find teddybear files, please? :)
I also have an SV04, and once you get the 2 extruders calibrated, it does a pretty good job. PrusaSlicer also has a feature that will try to split your model into different parts/object for easier painting.

I am sorry to hear that! I print with .12 or .16 layer height, no supports, 3 walls and 15% infill. I have noticed some terrible filaments lately really stringing. But you can send photos to flexifactory@gmail.com and i can help troubleshoot :)

I am having a lot of issues with the bears in my X1. Really bad 1st layer defects after cleaning, using iso and glue. Haven't had a single successful print of the bears.

I made one as soon as this lil guy was release! It printed perfectly as usual.
Mine are working well on my ender 3 max. Totally not stock tho. 😂 Both 100% and 70%

I have a SOVOL Sv04 index printer and it's decent printer. I use it with prusa slicer so that I can paint the prints instead of trying to split them apart

The arms and legs have a smaller footprint. Just make sure your plate is clean. I use soap and water, then alcohol, and a purple glue stick if I really have adhesion issues. And some pla is better than others.
bears keep detaching from the bed, managed to print 2 out of 6, pinwheel is adorable.
Agreed. Tried on the ender 3. They break when trying to fit the pieces together.

From a design perspective, I would say my biggest con is that the files have to be created to be separated. I don't personally design that way because it is time intensive. You have to have multiple files and layer them, one for each color. But I suspect there are machines and slicers that can make it easier to paint. You might also get a better response on the discord chat:)

Yes, had no issue with stock settings on the Bambu X1

Can anybody give some insight to a dual extruder? I just do this for fun but I'm really thinking about a dual extruder. Pros? Cons?? Inexpensive hobbiest printer?
has anyone been able to print a working pinwheel ? I cannot

Can't wait to print these Beauties!

Oh, I also saw several photos with real lollipops and that could be a huge selling incentive. Great for display

I am working on a flower that is utilized like the spinner as a bonus. Lots of accessories...but I am only one guy, hahaha. Working as fast as I can :)

Could we maybe get a few more options for things the bears can hold??? They do have 2 hands 😁... Here's a few ideas: balloon, pennant/flag, cotton candy or lollipop.
