Wow, it has been fun processing through this little "lightning bug!"
I really wanted to make this month's Exclusive super customizable. So similar to the Ladybug, I kept the push-in wings which can be printed individually for a ton of color options. I also added a cut abdomen version which can be printed in GLOW!!!
What is really cool about this, is all you folks who like to gingantasize flexis, can go huge with this one AND make it glow. And there are a ton of PLA brands that glow with blacklight too.
For magnets, you can print two sizes... 8x3 magnets should be used for 100% and 6x2 magnets at 80%. Magnets are linked here: MAGNETS

Print tips and Info:
I successfully test printed between 60% and 115% for this one. You can go big, no problem. The smaller versions have the littlest legs, so use high quality materials and settings. I personally feel 70% is as small as you should go as they get quite fragile.
Right and left wings are interchangable. Consider making them a SOLID color for AMS, because it substantially adds on time and waste.
8x3 magnets should be used for 100% and 6x2 magnets at 80%.
STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.
I print with, 15% infill/gyroid, .12 or .16 layer height for quality. For the Glow pla consider more walls to make a solid glow.
As usual, make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works or I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate.

1st and 3rd photo are 100% 3MF magnet and 80% magnet versions: Cookiecad Sunrise, Amolen Red/Gold Silk, Anycubic Black and Flashforge Green Glow
2nd and 4th photo are 100% and 80% magnet versions: Ziro Meadow Mirage

I tried the print and I am having issues with the last few layers if the cut abdomen print, the filament seems to want to print well, I'm getting connection to the previous layers but they look like they are just barely combining layers... any advice for print settings? I've tried with lightning infill, honeycomb, and gyroid in densities up to 25%...

Each magnet version has two slots for magnets. You will need to slice, then add a pause just before the hole is covered, slice again. this will allow your printer to stop and you to place them inside the model. Captured Magnet Video Tutorial Here: https://youtu.be/kDyoTGOxb5g?si=DBU4nTZLR_tXcG2Y

How to you add walls to only the gid area of the firefly ?

I have a version with a seperate abdomen, so you can print that in glow on it's own and glue on :)
