That's already a separate project! We're watching linux-apfs closely and hope that some day it's proven solid enough to recommend using it as a root filesystem on Linux. That (plus some tweaks to our installer) would allow you to dual-boot macOS and Linux on the same APFS container, dynamically sharing disk space. https://github.com/linux-apfs/linux-apfs-rw
Amazing work! The report made me wonder: Would it be possible that APFS support in linux becomes eventually a "stretch goal" of Asahilinux? Having macOS and linux play nice together like that on the same machine would be amazing :)
