I have a few questions for everyone:
- Would you like to see the Layers/History/Toolbars while I work or would you prefer to see just the canvas?
- Would you find it useful if I added some commentary on certain stages (likely going to be writing and not audio descriptions)?
- And if so, which bit of the process would you like to know more about?
I realised halfway through recording the colouring that my Output quality has been set to 720 rather than 1080 for all the stages before this particular clip. Gutted about that but I can tell the difference on this clip after changing it. I must've lowered the quality specifically for streaming purposes but I'm going to up it for progress stuff.
Previously the clips have also been saved as .flv for some reason which forced me to manually change them into .mp4 through VLC as DaVinci Resolve doesn't support .flv. It's not a huge job but just another step in the process that I could do without. Fixed now!

Thanks for the tip! I'm a bit lost with all the specs and formats. Audio is the next thing I'd like to look into and I haven't the foggiest when it comes to that.

I actually agree with you on the audio. Whenever I 'watch' videos, I'm actually drawing and listening rather than actually watching. Unless there's something very specific I want to see or look up on the video I'll rewind and watch closely. I'll need to give it some thought and find out if I need a new mic to do decent audio. I'm also not familiar with that side of things at all and super nervous about doing voiceovers, but I'm willing to try! The time lapse probably won't be any faster than this. I'd like to try and put some normal/slower speed stuff for some bits. So, really not sure if to keep the toolbars or not. Problem is, I'd like to show my brushes, but OBS/PhotoShop combination doesn't seem to display them. The colour pick stuff is a great idea! I could look at making a video explaining that at least.
Not sure if it's useful or not, but Handbrake is another useful program for converting .flv files to .mp4.
I'm loving all your activity lately! Really heartwarming to see all this artwork pouring out now that Spring has come around. Makes me feel all cosy seeing these green, green pieces, too!

- no real preference on toolbar on/off, but if the timelapse would be faster than this i think it would be more distracting - if youre gonna add commentary id prefer audio over text. i usually watch videos like this while drawing myself and would not look up for reading - you recently (well recently is relative innit?) changed your way of coloration/ picking colors. it kinda fits all nicely together now. id like to know more about that
