Mine isn't hiding my double chin these days just slightly obscuring it in the right light!

David McNelis

Everyone should experience a freshly shaved head for the first time. I still remember the day, such liberation, such smoothness. I couldn’t stop stroking my bonce. Then the first stubble came, so satisfying. (I’m still talking about shaving my head for first time by the way).

Maurice Barnes

As you departed Peterborough I wonder if you saw the remains of the hovertrain? We were passing through on Sunday and while idly looking out the window saw this Thunderbirds reject on an elevated section of track.

Kevin Perham

I rushed to Patreon hoping for a look at the Danish Ergonomic Flatware...

Beardless people seem to think we are in a beard phase now, but beards are the norm throughout history. Its actually being clean shaven that was a short fad.

Dave Carter

As for the Red Arrows being in cars instead of planes to save money...., I was once taken to a country fair, where 9 blokes in red boiler suits did formation wheelbarrowing (also red). Yes, they were the Red Barrows.

As Jonny is now single and will no doubt be considering a dating app, wil he be putting his profile pic where he is Woolarding on the Eagle Quest?

Fergus McIver

Good heavens!

Jeff Japes

Having been prevented from growing a beard for the last 20 something years (army) until they changed the rules this Easter, I'm enjoying the beard, if only for novelty value for a while yet!

Jonny's thinking of Lycanthrope in his lichen/lichen debate, lycanthrope being a werewolf

Andy Pinchock

I won't add anything to the whole hair subject for obvious reasons. :-) However I should point out I was kicked off the American football team because of the two times I played I put 2 opposing players (one per game) in the hospital with concussions... So maybe I am "buff"...?

S Carter

speaking of lichen cars, i spotted this Isuzu trooper today. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395385249484?mkpid=0&emsid=e11021.m43.l1120&ch=osgood&euid=8ede85c8a64345fcab27c5153772e048&bu=43024682157&ut=RU&osub=-1~1&crd=20240506020254&segname=11021

I can't shave my beard, it's in the prenup! also I'm bald AF and not particularly fit or have broad shoulders, so it's my only adult like feature!

The top coach helmsmen have an annual competition at Blackpool each year, where they go through their elite reverse parking and up selling of day excursion programmes. https://coachdisplays.co.uk/. It's less about aviators and more about manscaping and waistcoats.

we have air cooled 911 cutlery - the 180 from lounge to kitchen has to be taken slow in fast out or a butter knife will launch itself into the scenery (hall).

Another fantastic episode of Britain's biggest Car Men's Facial Hair Grooming Horse Detailing Coach Helmsman Danish Spoon Ergonomics Podcast that also deals with incidents on Peterborough Station where appropriate.

John Hammond

The little guards vans on freight trains were referred to as 'brake vans' and the primary function was for the guard to assist the drivers with braking on freight trains, which until the end of the 1960s were otherwise heavily reliant on just the engine for braking effort. Brake vans became redundant with the increase in braked freight wagons and automation of railway equipment.

fred bloggs

Freight trains don't have guards Vans anymore

Still the only Car Podcast to listen to every week on a Sunday night. Also good for general life style views for gents of a certain age!

Jono

The moments of realization on the podcast scare me that one day Jonny and Rich will question why they do it and stop. My Monday mornings will be ruined and I'll have to work in silence.
