Favourite episode in a long while!

Campbell Vearing

What a wild ride that was lads. Awesome work

Barry

Beagle Quest, you are Johny Darwin and I claim my $5

Paul Bolton

I got fed an update on Ian Botham tours. Feckin listening devices overhearing you 3 wax lyrical about him!

Peter

disappointing lack of EagleQuest updates. However I may have found something better. The Bedford "Cruise-O-Van", as once owned by Sir Sterling of Moss (apparently, otsot) https://www.facebook.com/share/p/FQg7EoJDFwHVKXWz/

DanNrich

This episode was utter chaos. My favourite episode to date

Terry Yakisauce

This made me howl so much I finally got round to signing up. More pissed up podcasts please. :)

Ollie Horsley

No grainy ‘Bum Tricks’ photograph?

Paul Renowden

You bastards. I've just been loading the van with our delivery driver and I was giggling like a twat the whole bloody time. Largely due to an item called a "Crack Tell-Tale Monitoring Gauge". All I could think of was bum tricks. I'll e-mail the photos of the item listing, which on our parts system is listed right under another favourite product of that flute Jonny, plus a section of the pamphlet that came with said monitoring gauges. Hilarious podcast, by the way.

Mark Gould

After that, you could pop over to Castell Gala Dalí in Púbol, where his Cadillac is stored, as well as the orange Datsun Bluebird estate that he was given by Nissan: https://jalopnik.com/salvador-dali-once-painted-a-portrait-of-a-datsun-610-w-1842909664

Lewis Warren

A good racing mum contender would be Jodie Kidd, racing acumen, and notably tall to minimise seat adjustment requirements.

Cornish Rider

Could cap the race at 2000cc as that was a major company tax car threshold hence Saab 2.0 Turbos, 520i etc. if not don't forget Xedeos 6, Gallant VR4, 850, Accord V6, Camry... oh heady days

HAP

This podcast sounds like a shite house party! Fantastic!

Thomas Cowley

Guys, guys, you really need to go to the Dali museum - the Rainy Taxi centrepiece is worth a visit alone https://thedali.org/ Although the rest of it is simply incredible, too

Marc

In the car I mean not on the car, but then again…

Marc

In my head, Dads are in their bin shoes and smoking a pipe. Mums are in a massive rush because they’ve had to make the kids packed lunches and tidy up all the crap in the hallway, so they’re in their fluffy slippers and have to do their makeup on the car on the first lap

Helen Morris

you do know about Driving Force from the 80s right? Because you pretty much described a new series of Driving Force. Get it pitched ASAP, I reckon Channel 5 would eat it up!

George Wade

Just as funny as I suspected, Jonny the next Renault barn find you go you have to invite Greg. Also I could listen to Mr James chat absolute nonsense about his love for Renaults all day.

Ben

I'm only 5 minutes in and I've already had to pause to let the overboost blow down a bit. This is shaping up to be a cracking episode.

Alexander Clement

This was a hilarious episode but utter shambolic nonsense which strays perilously close to Derek and Clive. You guys better pray no-one at all from Goodwood was listening, let alone anyone 'high up'. Greg was a great guest, though.

Rob Stannard

Two things about Show Notes 206. If Greg James grew a bigger beard, he might recreate the Botham shot ( sunroof / gun turret on alpine road) The Picasso SL image. Hoping the car had column shift rather than four on the (pelvic) floor. :-|

Glenn Chalmers

The podcast reminds me of when Oliver Reed went on Aspel in 1980's. Thank goodness everyone kept their trousers on.

Zoona

got me twitching too...

Snowy

I feel the need to churlishly chastise Greg for referring to "A fully blacked out Range". As Richard has previously mentioned when not full of sauce, a range is "A fucking oven, not a car". But am not gonna do that, he seems too pleasant to chastise!

Snowy

Greg James, BBC Radio 1 breakfast show host and seemingly all round nice chap as well as a car guy. However...

Adrian J

Not being funny but, who is the Greg bloke?

Robin White

I tried driving a volvo 960 with some spirit (as an 18 year old). Handling wasn't the best. It could handle the kerbs okay because you won't feel them and it would pitch and roll like a good one. It would certainly have the momentum for some bumper rubbing

Smokey Wilson

Here is the executive race video you are seeking for but mostly 80's saloons https://youtu.be/aysUto0dLPI?si=t-iRBlOqCbl7n0bW

fred bloggs

What a load of crap!! I love it

Bruce Driffill

My dad did a track day at Goodwood (before it was spruced up) in his 827si, so that's a good choice

Robin White

Amazed the didn’t get a knock on the door to tell them to break it up.

Robin White

I can feel the hangover from here.

Tanner Lee Robert Milne

This was a lot of fun to listen to with Greg with you guys. Oi, cheers.

Sean O'Neill

That Picasso Toyota was a collaboration between Toyota and the Japanese telecom company. To me, it looks like a Ford Anglia got off with an early 2CV - had a one night stand and didn’t use protection.

Robin Johnsen

Need the clip of Jonny doing wine fueled press-ups.

Nick Davies

I'm more shocked by that mess of cables on the desk, than the shoes on the bed!

Adam

Fifteenth

Adam

Nothing screams 80’s more than Crockets theme

Ryan Beveridge

What a sweet sweet Alpine A110, only modern car that could tempt me out of the GR Yaris.

Peter Heamon

I'm often blurry after a few bevvies too.

Smith and Sniff

As Jonny will vouch, I went out of focus some time in the late afternoon. Richard

Graham Dallas

Richard is quite blurry in that photo, is that a trick of the camera or a true representation.

Iain W

It's a bag of Werthers Originals in a sanitary bag and a squashed pork pie away from a Partridge scene.

Smith and Sniff

Ooops, sorry, fixed now.

JDS

First link is broke 😭

Formula Whine

I second this

The state of those cables!

TD

Also that YouTube link is fully broken (the wake up one)

TD

Shoes off the bed, James!!
