Duke of Coffee

The Orks stuck in living purgatory oh boy.

The Dyson sphere idea is actually great. You could layer it like an onion and spread Ork spores throughout it through ventilation system, and then eat the orks later on easily, because the entire sphere is grey goo and the structure itself simply drags you into the ground for consumption. It would be the best and most efficient bio-energy farm.

Since she's aware of warhammer 40K lore, the orc thing would probably be a temporary derp moment rather than a major annoyance, a second of "oh, right, obviously it won't work, it's orc tech", or she could in such a scenario be checking if they were using some looted tech and be mildly dissapointed it was not. Also, I agree that a dyson sphere/swarm has immense power and would likely result in far more than one of thsoe each day. And the idea of using her literally godly authority within the puddle to exploit magic for creating infinite energy loops would make a lot of sense. Souls constantly seem to generate some forms of warp energy, faith increases and/or directs it, etc, so clearly if you are THE god of a minature warp, there are some MAJOR exloits just waiting to be found and used.

Thanks for the chapter! I was informing me a little more about the Wh40K environment. And well ... There is no doubt that the Wh40k universe is screwed. In a case that caught my attention: the ork are interesting specimens. I saw a video that told a story of a siege orks; An imperial soldiers unit was running out of ammunition or batteries (laceres weapons). The one who was in command occurred to him that could take advantage of the peculiarities of the orks to relieve their situation. He ordered his men to continue pointing their weapons at the enemies around them, even if they stopped being able to shoot, and made noises with their mouths imitating the noise of the weapon when shooting. And on the one hand they were human soldiers pretending to shoot weapons (without ammunition) and on the other: Orcs that fell dead, without any visible wound. All because some imaginary laser bullets "impacted" on the orks ... :) In the previous example their Ork-abilities to "influence reality with their beliefs" played against them. On the other hand: I also found a story of an Ork tank, practically “indestructible”, which caught the attention of some Tech-Priest (toaster worshipers). No matter how much the Imperial troops damaged the tank, in no time the Orks had it running again. At the insistence of the Toaster Worshipers, the tank was eventually captured, at great cost (many casualties), for its study-technological. It turned out that the engine and power source was a rock with graffiti of “Rrromm Rrromm” and other Ork inscriptions designating the rock as a “good engine”. :) It made me want to read a scene, where Echidna defeats a group of Orks: She thinks she has gotten another piece of high technology (treasure), like the Necron Disintegrator. Only for her to actually end up with scrap metal full of Orks graffiti. Well actually: What I'm most looking forward to now is the next time Echidna meets Mephiston and Dante. In addition to how their reactions will be to the Power that she showed them on her day of “Tyrannical cleansing”. (Maybe a scene between the two of them without Echidna, where the Chief Librarian strongly recommends not making Enemies with her.) Her upcoming meeting with Lord Guilliman Guilliman is also an event I am looking forward to… I also wonder what a meeting between Echidna and a Great Hero of the Empire like Ciaphas Cain would be like... From what I really seemed to see, the feats and achievements recorded by Cain are quite "Legendary"... ;) Although, it is not as if there is a shortage of figures who have great distinction in the Empire. But I think for the moment; She should probably consider staying away from someone like, Constantin Valdor. The idea of a meeting with Ciaphas Cain could be interesting or at least something to consider. This is just an amateur opinion of mine… I don't even know, if Cain is still alive for the current timeline in the story. Well I'm going to try to give a little constructive criticism on this chapter. I won't say anything really important about Echidna's combat style. Which, although reckless in several ways, still doesn't seem bad or too negative to me. If I had to criticize something: The Butterflies of Echidna are a great detail. But they could draw attention to their need for a large amount of Bioenergy. Which could perhaps scare some viewers who were watching her. Maybe she gets them to fear her enough that they come up with ways to annihilate her Puppet body. The Orks already destroyed one, another was temporarily captured by a mad collector. It really doesn't matter if a few dozen more of her puppet bodies were destroyed by some reborn Primarch - gods of chaos and other beings who may see her as a threat. Actually, I'm not so against butterflies and their reckless-confident attitude. But part of me thinks he should improve slightly so that it doesn't bite him in the butt and he ends up losing something he doesn't want to lose... Regarding the issue of Bioenergy. At first it was more of a relative unit of lifespan or Necessary Energy to not go into hibernation for Echidna. I also think it might limit how much she could expand the size of her physical body, although this is more of my speculation. In addition to the fact that their different templates (Human – psychic – xeno - etc.) when transformed, they tend to have different Energy requirements to be able to form and function continuously. She can also supercharge bioenergy into one of her template forms: to increase one, several, or all of her abilities. Echidna has great potential. Depending on how the author wants to continue the story; she can take the role of a single being with great power or transform into an unstoppable swarm. But at the moment, at least to me, I don't get the impression that she's going down the path of becoming a space swarm of planet-eating locusts. As for Echidna's ideas about raising Orks. It might work though... I get the impression that it might draw too much unintended attention. Playing at cultivating Ork mushrooms on a large scale… It's not something I think is a smart idea… As for the calculations that a full Dyson Sphere would give her the bioenergy equivalent of a single Carnifex consumed each day on average... :( I must say with absolute sincerity; that a part of me tells me that it is a fictional world and that I should not try to logically quantify the daily energy that a sun (the smallest possible in my opinion) could provide to a supernatural being with tentacles that is an entity of Fiction. But the pickiest part of my mind. It practically screams that the amount of energy a sun radiates in just a single second is absolutely astronomical [full Dyson Sphere]. Of this I can only say: Echidna's energy conversion is absolute shit. For my peace of mind - I imagine that instead of a single Carnifex; Echina said she would get the estimated equivalent of at least two or three full bio-ships full of Carnifex PER DAY. It still feels a little insufficient actually, but hey, you have to set some limit and assuming that its way of collecting-transforming energy is truly inefficient it makes more sense. [full Dyson Sphere] I don't want the esteemed author to take any of this negatively. It's just an attempt on my part to give a comment that may serve to improve or simply encourage this story. I'm really enjoying reading it and I hope to continue reading more of it in the future. I have some ideas (imaginative delusions) of how Echina could obtain a trickle of bioenergy that could be useful to him. It is related to her soul energy pool and her biomass reserve present in it. Keeping things simple: Echidna should create a great sphere of solid Soul Energy (like her staff and soul bones). Then with her divine authority that she has in her puddle, give it the function of imitating – creating: solar radiation. She could function by consuming a small part of her normal soul energy. Taking into account her will, the ability to alter reality in her domain, and the efficiency with which everything in her puddle wants to obey her, the energy transformation could be quite efficient. Then she should envelop the mini sun with her reserve biomass. Said Biomass should be adapted so that it can absorb radiation and convert it into bioenergy. Relative to how much energy could she get? (I'm not entirely sure...) Let's say that the approximate equivalent of an adult man every 0.24 thousandths of a second would not be bad. This could be the true gain after subtracting the Bioenergy consumption that would have to keep the Dyson mini sphere running. Time, if I remember correctly, is something strange in its puddle. This could be taken advantage of if she manages to exert some control over how this affects her Biomass pool. She could make the Time more stable in the area she orbits. Even give that area a certain time dilation; A day in the real universe could be 5, 10 or 15 days in that area of the pond. Energy production could vary depending on the size of the sun she decided to create. This would give him some autonomy, at least in her reserve of emergency biomaterial. (She can be quite helpful with how regularly she is losing the body-puppet of her.) Well this is just a random idea that came to mind, it may or may not be useful. Thanks for posting the story!
