Monthly Release - Barrow Wights
🕑 Added 2020-06-02 12:15:16 +0000 UTCUpon the walls of Drakenhof Castle, and the other Vampire-haunted keeps of Sylvania, patrol tireless warriors clad in rust-gnawed armour. These dread sentries are the Grave Guard - Wights drawn from their ancient tombs to act as guardians for the Vampire rulers of Sylvania. Although their bodies have decayed, leaving only bones and tattered flesh, Grave Guard are held together by evil magic so strong that it has endured for centuries. They wear ancient battle gear of primitive alloy, corroded by time and dusty with the years. These eerie, silent sentinels stand constant vigil on the crumbling battlements and at the iron-bound gates, never resting, eternally ready to defend their Vampire masters. When a Vampire marches forth, his Grave Guard advance at the head of the Undead host. They form a formidable corps of warriors, their enchanted blades cutting down the toughest of enemies with strike after pitiless strike.
Barrow Wights come with modular hands. They can take sword/halberd & shield. Also include is an alt version to hold 2-handed great weapons.
note: you can make great weapon witghts in 2 ways, you can take the normal wight and give them the great weapon with one hand and then a fist. or use the 2-hands version where they are holding it in 2 hands.
note: Also not in the pic, I added blank shield and made a double of the musician as a normal foot troop and great weapon holder. they are labeled as wight_11.

Do you know when they will appear on the store? Thanks.

@ Joshua they are 2 handed in battle. But when marching they are held in one hand and the other a shield. Its assumed the shield is thrown down, put on the back, etc during fighting.

I play a fantasy version of the game Piquet (HIPSTER VOICE: Itβs very niche - youβve probably never heard of it.) π Old WH editions did allow you to have a shield/halberd combination. Which is weird because historically speaking, halberds and other Polearms were wielded with two hands. But hey, they look awesome.

I'd also be curious to see what you backers are using these for... maybe a poll? Who knows, maybe I'll find a new game for them too!
CapnRon
Fantasy skirmish games like SAGA, Frostgrave, Rangers of Shadowdeep, etc. Plus DnD of course. These are great minis all around... but certainly more useful than just for Warhammer or GW stuff.
James Boykin
What game are you using them with?
CapnRon
Ok, thx for the info. I'm not a Warhammer guy... want these for something else. Looks like I'll bash my own then.
James Boykin
Halberds are one hand items since in the rules they get halberd and shield. Only great weapons are 2 hands and no shields.

Love these so much.. and thanks for including the weapons without hands on them... great to have. But I'm not finding any Halberds with two hands on them... just one hand. Are they there and I'm just missing them?
