🕑 Added 2022-02-28 21:22:08 +0000 UTCIf you want to print a 2-color bitcoin you will need to edit your slicer settings to pause at the specific layer where the bitcoin logo starts. This will allow you to change filament colors and resume the print.

I can’t provide a layer height to pause the print on that works for everyone because every printer setup is different, you’ll need to find the exact layer for your printer via the slicer. Even settings like layer height will effect the layer you’ll need to pause the print on. For example: if you’re printing on an X1C with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.28mm layer height you might need to pause at layer 14. If you change the layer height to 0.2mm on that same printer setup, the layer you need to pause at may change to layer 20. The only way to find out for sure is the preview tab in your slicer.

Oh yea i know about that Preview tab but where does it say which layer i should stop on? Is it in the filé somewhere?

You’ll go into the preview tab in your slicer program and typically on the right side of the screen there will be a slider bar which shows each layer number
