How the heck do you bend the wire like that after it's together? Actually, after looking at it more I think you could cut the wire short enough and make plugs to go in the ends of the hinges to retain it.

i printed the hinge pin. 2.5mmx110mm 65 degree angle tree support(thin) layer height .25....was less than 2g filament, glued each end in place then trimmed length.....supports took more material than pin but it worked haha

I absolutely love my og dumpster. I run the filament hinge and have had no issues at all. Any chance for a filament hinge version?

I had to make a new design for this. Both the large & mini dumpsters use the same 2.5mm wire. If I had scaled the larger one down, the lids & wire would be smaller than 2.5mm and wouldn't fit.

That is what I came here to say. I have a few hinged prints that do that and it works great.

I might change the internal diameter of the hinge to 1.75mm and use abit of filament instead
