Bent Staff Base Piece
🕑 Added 2023-09-18 00:15:05 +0000 UTCUpgrade the look of your cosplay wizard staff with a bent staff base piece! These have the same threaded connections as the straight up and down base pieces, so you're able to use them to give your staff a different look. You can add one of them to the top of the staff, add two of them at the top and bottom, or add as many as you'd like! You could even build the entire staff base with these new bent base pieces.
I included two of these bent pieces which are both different models. One of them is mirrored so the bent side isn't on the same side. If you were to build an entire staff from the bent pieces, you would want to alternate between piece #1 and piece #2.

Hey, are you able to make one of these ORB balls to hang from trees branches? put a hook or loop on top. Halloween is coming up and I was thinking how cool it'll be using the staff/orb ball tied to the fence around the yard and the ORB ball hanging from tree branches.

That all depends on how much you get your filament for. This staff using 8 base pieces requires around 650 grams of filament to print + one led light/remote.

I printed mine at only 10% infill with 2 walls and haven’t experienced this issue. It sounds like under extrusion or cooling could potentially be causing the issue

mine keeps snapping off at the threads. 20% infill and 3 walls. Any tips?

I used 10% infill for prototyping this staff for faster print times. I would use more infill depending what it would be used for. If I was printing it simply to display in my room, I would use around 10-15% infill. If I was printing it for a customer who wanted to take it to a festival or use it for cosplaying, I would probably use around 20-40%+.
