Thanks to my friend Kestrel who took these photos for us! And speaking of Kestrel, I have to share their couples costume with their partner Jim, too. Who can guess what they were before scrolling down??
If you guessed "Elephant Town's first cosplay?" Nailed it.
I cameoed Kestrel's mom Benita, a beloved photo professor and Shepherdstown local whom we lost last year, on this page in Chapter 11 with her opossum baby (not canon irl, but I'd like to think Benita would have appreciated being depicted as a nutty lady with a marsupial in a baby stroller).
And speaking of cameos, there were a few cameos I didn't bring attention to in the last Elephant Town page! (If you aren't seeing these pages, btw, gentle reminder that they're on the $2 tier! They'll continue to be free - albeit on a delay - at the elephant.town website.)
That's old-man-Ryan and old-lady-me in the back corner of the Meck over there (oh yeah, I guess it's also a cameo of the Meck! Does this make ET part of the GWS universe? Or is it just the Meck in a parallel universe?).

I'm gonna post a little more in-depth stuff for my $3+ sneak peek tier, and then pack for an early morning drive to New York for something I may or may not be able to talk about later?!
I'll tell you sneak peekers what it is, and fingers crossed I can make a comic about it later for everyone else.

There's an antique shop in my hometown about 45 minutes away that I *KNEW* would have a hoard of pussy-bow blouses! But Luke ultimately found his duds on eBay and at a combination of Goodwills around the area. He really lucked out, his was perfect! (I had to make my own pussy bow, which... was not as easy as I thought it would be!)

How in the world did you manage to track down the exact clothing like that?????? The movie was amazing. We cried, we swooned, we talked to the TV. Guess I'll have to wait for all of the good stuff because I'm at the $3/mo tier and likely to remain here. Gotta spread the love around, yanno?

"Opossum bebe is not canon irl" cracks me up. I'm a terrible cosplayer because i just noticed the lizard brooch detail and I have a genuine BK lizard brooch I could have worn!!
I saw only the cover picture of you in your costumes in my email and new right away and showed my partner because we watched it together and he also got it. You did a great job, was very obvious
