unlike the pre-digitization Aesir; the Hegemony would not tolerate incursions by these foreign raiders. they tracked the Jötunn hordes back to their homeworld and decreed absolute genocide

At this point (archonic contamination era) the Aggregate of Aesir had looked inward and the Jötunn war-torn territory was abandoned. it was more trouble than it was worth to the Aesir at the time, resources for keeping the giants in check was needed elsewhere. With their natural nemesis removed from the equation the Jötunn spread across the universes. There was a violent response by the post-flesh Aesir that culminated with the first war between Xibalba and Asgard (currently ongoing)

Isn't the Jötunheim of the Aesir Yggdrasil collective? Even in rebellion, I doubt overmuch the Aesir would like losing any holding, and wonder if they had response?
