HOUSE OF BATS (Catacomb Excavation)
🕑 Added 2020-07-07 08:40:50 +0000 UTCOne of the first great houses of Xibalba. CAMAZOTZ the great patriarch who's wings swallowed the Moon was Lord over all Bats until he followed his master (The First Death) into the outer edges of reality and was never seen again. The remaining Bats were used in the civil wars that followed as each Rot lords tried to seize power, with the eventual truces and creation of the modern Hegemony the Bat house had solidified itself as a major power within the new Xibalban power structure.
The current house is run by the Eldest Bat; firstborn of CAMAZOTZ who together with her siblings: ARMORED Bat, PLAGUE Bat, BLOOD Bat, WEEPING Bat, and Youngest Bat keep the hordes organized and command battlefields where the ZOTZ forces are used to infest planets and prepare them for BONEMEN invasion.

The First Death was the only Xibalban to perfect the Death Equation calculations (he was a primordial being unborn when the first angels slew each other during SCHISM). None of the lesser nobles were ever able to recreate that power. The true Death Equation was thought to be a power rivaling the divine swords of the First Weapons.

The House of Bats have legendary blood in them. I like them for being one of the few factions to have some form of empathy (though obviously empathy =/= good - just look at Torq or the MANTLE). Hopefully their father wasn't minced by Aborted Ones at the edge of reality... or worse.

I would love to see what the mighty Moon-Swallower looked like. CAMAZOTZ must’ve been quite the sight. And a question. Perhaps this is obvious, but indulge this Old One; are the XILBALBANS immune to their own death equation? In particular, the one the First Death calculates? I imagine something that rots time and space itself does not care about small things such as factions.
