The pilgrim clowns that left the sterile safety of the abandoned Angel cities absorbed the vibrations/culture of the entities they came in contact with. Many that adapted to living in Godhead courts or Demon Pulpits brought those energies back to the pure Harlequins when they returned from their pilgrimages with new knowledge. The Jesters who treated in Infernal courts were heavily tainted with predatory schemes; they introduced painful slapstick punishment and torture of fools to the Harlequin vernacular. This era sparked the first hunter clowns who sharpened their teeth and cackled for the RICTUS REX cult.

he Fomorian jester is very mime-ish and emanates sadclown radiation that makes even gods melancholy. King BALOR is a brutal ruler and his evil eye can disassemble the molecules of most things he gazes on but he cannot kill his court clown no matter how hard he tried. And this amused him so he kept his Jester and lets him put on awful clown plays and forces the Fomorian court to watch them.

Infernal clowns are some nasty bastards. The detail with his teeth going through the poor clown's head is gnarly. How do the other pilgrims change when residing in godhead/fae/Fomorian realms? Also probably a coincidence that SATAN'S jester looks like BEATLEGEIST's older brother. Another agent of depravity.
