Hayden de Dulin

Excellent 😊

Joshua Bardwell

I'm a huge fan of high-kv motors. I run RCX 2205/2633kv now and love them. Just don't over-prop them and you'll be fine.

Hayden de Dulin

P.S. Received email

Hayden de Dulin

Cool. Is that part on the stack an osd? I'd put money on it that it's for cam and vtx, or do I? Look forward to seeing 2600kv's as I have some in the mail. Was tossing up between lb pros and kiss. Thought I'd give kiss a try.

Just received an email notification

You're right. It's the details of the port that the designer asked me to obscure.

Zoran

got the mail. the covered part looks like a connection port

Robert Craig Quillen

Does that work well?

Robert Craig Quillen

Something to keep in mind looking at those traces. If the board that's actually flying gets any wiggles that make it into the motor signals they'll show up in the secondary's traces even though it's not it's fault.

Robert Craig Quillen

Oh I get it, you just want to compare the traces from the two gyro chips on an identical flight. Not actually change which board is flying the quad.

Joshua Bardwell

Correct. With foam tape underneath for padding and isolation.

Robert Craig Quillen

Is there any heat shrink on those ESCs? Looks like just e-tape.

Joshua Bardwell

Actually, I may just stack the boards and run them both in passive mode, on a copter that is already built. The key information is the gyro data really. If there is a substantial difference in the gyro data, that is what matters.

Joshua Bardwell

In real life, of course there will only be one flight controller in the stack. In my testing, one flight controller will be active, and one will be passive. The passive one will have no motor outputs hooked up to it. It will get a parallel feed of the SBUS signal so that it knows when to arm and start recording.

Yeah for sure. The designer is also considering inventing a new OSD module, but for launch he says he is going to make a "carrier" module for a micro minimOSD, similar to how the X4R will slot into the receiver module.

Robert Craig Quillen

So you'll be able to switch which FC is active in the stack?

Robert Craig Quillen

I had my eye on that stack from the start of the vid. Looks pretty slick.

Michael Wesemann

I got am email notification. Thanks for your very cool videos Joshua.

Joshua Bardwell

Ok thanks. Still figuring out how Patreon works.

Robert Craig Quillen

I got an email Joshua.
