I am in EU, and .. my advice? Stay at home! It is better for you and for all the others. In particular for the old lady you do cross often in the market. Honestly, the best thing everybody can do is: stay at home!

To anyone reading. My generic medical recommendation is anyone with cold symptoms should home quarantine for 14 days to get well. In regard to testing for the virus responsible for the COVID-19, my opinion epidemiologically and pragmatically is even if test available it may not be helpful for the vast majority of individuals during an epidemic because pretest probability and post test probability makes false negativeresults a potential risk to others. Tesring might not be reliable and testing results that are definitive for positives can take maybe 7 to 10 days to result. Use good sense and hygiene, call your MD and see the CDC.gov website for information and your state and county health departments for updated information.

if fever (temp >100.4F) after day 5 of symptoms get on an antibiotic such as doxycycline 100mg twice a day x 10 days, for nausea zofran 4mg every 8hrs as needed, for inflammation or difficulty breathing steroid taper (prednisone 40mg x 3 days, 30mg x 3 days, 20mg x 3 days, then 10mg x 3 days), an expectorant only (no decongestants!!) guaifenesin 1200mg every 12hrs, Home quarantine for 14 to 21 days. Call your doctor for the above prescriptions they will NOT want you in their office but can call that all in and order a chest x ray or chest ct if necessary.
