Patreon charging you sales tax?! (I fixed it)
🕑 Added 2020-07-03 16:20:12 +0000 UTCA couple people have let me know that Patreon charged sales tax (VAT, etc) on your support this month. This would be correct if I were sending you merch, but in most locations, you should not be charged sales tax for "general support". I have updated my Patreon settings to reflect that I am not sending you any merch, and I believe that most people should not be charged sales tax (VAT, etc) going forward.

Yea im from the uk patreon tried to charge me vat when I first signed up to support u so I just changed my location to USA and problem solved.

Here in belgium it's the same, VAT charged every time. It's not alot but yeah.
