I’m all for supporting our FPV community as a whole, I was not aware that the A30 plug was open sourced, i’ve already reached out to my main Lipo supplier, they are reputable … I know, from personal knowledge, injection molding can be very expensive upfront, again I’m all in favor of advancement, within the market place, if done correctly … if it’s not broken, don’t need to fix it, is my initial thought with the BT2.0 / I know BT3.0 is coming … waiting to see how this unfolds … as for me, it’s expensive and very challenging, keeping up with all the advancements, wait and see approach is needed during these times …

Yup. We have recent precedent for this, too, with the fiasco of ELRS receivers that don't meet spec. In some ways, this is easier because it's just three physical parts (two pins and a housing), but in others it's more ripe for deviation, like looking for increased margins in an already low-margin part.

Now someone just needs to make a connector that's compatible with A-30, BT2.0, PH2.0, and GNB27. One connector to rule them all!

I wonder with the open source nature that we may get poorly made or reduced quality control in regards to specs and have the same issue as previous GNB connectors from third parties? I don't really care which one, as long as they work well and are well made.
