Youtube, because media players on Patreon lack basic features and are difficult to view on mobile.

I watch via youtube premium. And also listen the q and a in the car to work... so no video.. just audio.. For me the only advantage is beeing able to pay back for you tremendous service. That and mayb enter a giveaway.

I like the unlisted link idea. It gives patrons a chance to comment early and maybe get a creator response more often.

Im indifferent. But i think if you post unlisted in YT first, you can keep the AI overlords happier. And that way not only are we (patreon-ers) supporting you financially here. But also still supporting the algorithm on youtube!

I don’t get what this early access thing is good for. Just publish for everyone on YouTube. Anything else is just inconvenient.

I was one of those disappointed with the video quality on Patreon. I would greatly prefer you using YouTube for videos. As others have pointed out, I'm not here for early access. I appreciate all the help you provide through your videos.

Much like the others here, whether I get early access or not, I do this to support you. With that said, watching videos on Patreon is a hassle and I have YT premium.

I’m not here for perks either, but if you are going to do early access, the unlisted YouTube videos seem to be the way to go. We get to add to the watch count there, and YouTube Premium subscribers can contribute to your YouTube revenue still that way (idk how the splits work but YouTube is supposed to give a portion of our sub cost to people we watch)

I like that on YT you get a view which = more money for you. The ads aren’t too bad on your videos. Plus it will mark the video as watched on my profile so I know what I’ve watched and not watched. 😂

To be honest, just releasing the video immediately is fine. I subbed to patreon because the content you give is well worth supporting you for. Didn't really do it to get videos early.

I totally agree, most of us subscribed to you on patreon because you give us so much help with your existing and upcoming videos, so we don't mind if the videos are available to everyone as soon as you upload them. I know that not everyone is thinking the same as me and they need something extra, but the discord might be enough for this purpose.

I'm kinda with Rick LaBanca. I don't pay to get access to extras, I pay because it's the right thing to do to support all the work put into these videos. There are a lot of people like me who depend on those with mad skills to make this challenging hobby a little less challenging because we know no one IRL who can help. The lower tier prices can be afforded by most people and enable some of us to try to contribute to as many "helpers" as we regularly use for help. As far as my choice of the two option, I voted for posting to YouTube unlisted because some people do pay to get perks so I figure that will save you some time because after 3 or 5 days, all you have to do is change the listing to public, which will save you time.

...that way, folks can choose whichever works best for them. Presumably, YT upload is inevitable, so just the Patreon upload and link copy is the added effort.

I am paying for the patreon to support what you do, not really that much into watching the videos in advance - because if I watch it on Patreon first, then I don't watch it on Youtube and yt keeps offering it to me, and I feel like I have to watch it again so the yt algorithm still knows that I am into that ... keeping it on yt would fix that. I have been waiting for the yt release anyway.

I like unlisted on YouTube for a few reasons: It's only one upload for you. I have YouTube premium and wouldn't really mind the ads. It adds to your algorithm on YouTube. And it seems easier for you to manage if it's on YouTube.

I don't think you should bother with early-release videos. Your content is for me to discuss with others or it's a deep dive on something and early-release is kinda pointless for both. Maybe if it's something that's "timed" like the release of a new frame where parts might be in short supply. Unlisted youtube links will be shared regardless.

The videos are fine, and the details in the description seem to be working. But I have YT Premium so that works better on my laptop.

Hybrid. When I saw the vision review with the 'incidental swear' I figured it would be different when I saw it on YT. Patreon can be where director's cut versions are posted.. just a thought, do what you do, I'll watch

Personally, I prefer YT (I have Premium), but I haven’t noticed and quality degradation from the Patreon videos and have been thoroughly satisfied as is. Cheers.
