🕑 Added 2022-03-16 13:00:08 +0000 UTCAs we recently announced, we're making a movie and a true crime podcast, and we're making them in full view of you, our Patrons. Today, we worked on the movie and it’s audio this time! A shortish episode but we finish our new draft pass that responds to notes from you, furs we’ve sent the script, and assorted friends. Next time, we’ll have a nice new polished draft - we’ll talk about the next steps then!

Could someone be picking up their new custom suit and Trey ask what they'll do with the old suit. "Probably just sell it." Then have Trey explain why he wants it then get offered it cheap because the furry is touched?

Name suggestion: Animal Spirits It’s an extant phrase about what motivates man and I think works quite well on that level. However it’s originally in the context of behavioral economics so might be confusing to anyone who already knows it. No idea how many would though

This would have been more helpful to comment after the last episode but sorry, only thought of it now. The problem you’re dealing with in trying to show the fur suit Trey borrows is okay to ruin is that it happens in a scene where you can’t hear the dialogue. My out there solution: what if we saw the same scene again, but with the dialogue? A straight flashback in the middle of the movie wouldn’t really work with the pacing/vive you have going, but maybe as a post credits scene? Could be funny to get one impression of this scene in the montage, then an entirely different one where he comes off as a rambling, sad, desperate kid and the details of the transaction can be completely explicit. You’d still need most or all of the changes you made this episode as you wouldn’t want to bury all the explanation at the end like this, just thought it might be funny and more thoroughly solve your problem.

Was trying to think of a title suggestion that has a double meaning that covers the furry aspect and the home life of teenagers. All I came up with was "Semi-Domesticated". A captive state of a wild animal in which its living conditions and often its breeding are controlled by humans.

To Bear Is Human is the BEST title I’ve ever heard

Damn it! I still think Social Creatures works though.
